Chat popped up while I was checking the status of my order so I asked if there was a chance it may ship early..response:

“Nancy D.: The shipping is assigned as per the expected inventory, however we are trying our best so that all customer will get the new phones asap.”

What is the requirement about Sprint iPhones must have a new eSim? What's a Sprint eSim? I've never hard to install a sim card in a Sprint iPhone. Will it come in it already or is it something I have to buy extra?

If it's anything like my Pixel 4XL, the SIM is built into the phone. It's not something that you have to put in.
 
same with my Blue Pro 256gb, how it that even possible when I orders at launch.
My best guess based on stringing together info from chats and anecdotal conversations is that they didn't have very many 256GB phones on order and when those seemed to be the most popular, especially in Blue and Gold, they went straight to backorder and the very limited amount went to those first in the priority status queue.

I am sure that they have them ordered and are trying desperately to get them in stock, but to be safe, they have these far out dates that is more for people ordering right now than the ones that already have them ordered but since Sprint's system sucks, we only see that date.

Based on experience, I would expect we see them come in in batches over the next week or two and fulfill those of us who preordered in bunches. But that is a guess.

I would agree with this based on my chat conversations with Sprint reps. I had one rep tell me they had to use this date for all 256GB Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro's. But one questions they all asked me is if I went through priority pre-order phase. I told them yes, and they all assured me that the priority orders would be fulfilled soon.

Feels like Sprint got pushed down to some lower tier - almost forgotten about. Makes me want to switch to Verizon while the promos are nice.

We considered it here too but the service for anyone else in this area is mediocre at best. I just hope that they finish merging before too long as I think that brought down some buying power since I assume that TMobile had some control over it.
 
I have mine (Blue 256gb 12) out for delivery with tracking and the other for my wife (Blue 128gb 12) "pending" with a 10/23 date. Any chance it still comes today? Both ordered last Friday morning at 8am ET or so via priority preorder.

Do not cancel your orders, if you have an iphone pre-ordered through sprint make sure that it is pre-ordered and not backordered. Both T-mobile have confirmed that they have pros that will be delivered within the next week.

Where are able tell the difference between a pre-order and a backorder? My order on the website doesn't specify which. In fact, the last email I received says "Important shipping update: Your order includes item(s) that you pre-ordered or are currently on backorder and not yet available to ship."

I definitely pre-ordered using the priority system.

Yeah same here. I know that it's a pre-order since I used the Priority Status on all three, but I don't see anything indicating a difference that I can see on my account.

Call in and ask, I used the text service to verify the difference and I was told my device would ship on monday. If it doesn't I will definitely call back in and complain for sure.

My expected dates for my 2 pros shifted from 11/24-12/5 to 11/10-11/17 so that’s something. Hopefully it’ll shift up a few more weeks over the next couple days.

Mine shifted too. Looks promising. I'm in no hurry. I've pre-ordered video games up to two years before they've released lol

PSA check Apple for device pickup availability, you might have no-contact stores open in your area.

I ordered a 256GB 12 Pro Pacific Blue with Sprint's 'priority' system at 5:23am PST on 10/16 and still got slapped with the 11/24-12/5 ship dates. It didn't budge at all today for me.

I checked Apple.com and found them at a store nearby. Paid in full and will be picking it up tomorrow! Just cancelled my order with Sprint, they had me put down a fat deposit anyways and would have only saved me $30 in the end.
 
Received my 12 red 64gb yesterday at 430. Got home from work at 5. Had fun watching it move around town on the ups tracking. Upgrade was quick and easy. So far so good. Seems much smaller and faster than the 8 plus. Screen much brighter. Will try the 5g later today as I head in towards Chicago. Anyone know. Other than Performance will there be a visual indicator on the phone letting me know I am accessing the 5g. ?
