I'll tell you this from personal experience, it's not a bad thing to stalk your phone. Last year, when my 4S was reportedly en route to my home, I kept checking the shipping status at ups.com. Now, why would I keep refreshing the status if the phone was "on a truck for delivery" that day? I don't know. But I did it anyway and around 2PM or so, I refreshed the page to find out that the phone had been rescheduled for delivery.
Yep. If I hadn't been anal about refreshing something as minute as the actual ups.com page when the phone was actually en route, I would have been SOL on Friday and not gotten my phone.
I called UPS when I saw the message that it was being rescheduled for delivery on Monday and they told me that they accidentally left it off the truck. I panicked but thought to myself that the distribution center isn't too far away. No worries, just grab it and I'll go pick it up. They told me they had to have it in their hand before they can tell me to come get it. They'd call me in an hour. LONGEST HOUR EVER! Finally I got a call back and they told me that it was in fact on the truck but it was out of my area.
I had to run out and meet the UPS driver on his current route to get my phone. UPS even gave me his number so I could coordinate with him on where he was going to be as to not hold him up too long.
Basically, if I had not stalked my phone, I would have had to wait until the following Monday to get my 4S. So as I said, it's not bad to stalk because you never know. Take it from me.
