I just went to check my status @ Sprint.com/order status and a little window pops up with the sprint logo.the IM states he can help me find my status but needs my sprint pin #
I said i'll call instead and closed out the window!!!
That was freaking weird!!!
Anyone hear about this happening?????

Good looking out.I had my order # but the dash was in the wrong spot..THX SPRINT...ahhhhh!!!
My status is the same as yours shipped and is active.
Which means it shipped from China and when it gets to the warehouse in the states to get ready to get shipped,thats when we will get a tracking#.
I'll bet you we'll have that # Wed.

i did the same and mine showed shipped.i than called sprint and they said that was the warehouse number not the order number .i got my order number and it shows

I'm wondering how accurate that status message they've been sending out is as the Sprint site still lists the 32GB and 64GB models as still available for 9/21 delivery.

Either it's wrong and they need to update it or they way overestimated the number of units they thought they would sell prior to 2 p.m. yesterday.

i did a chat with cust service and they sent me a email because i never got one and it had the new number
 
No one orders from Sprint and the OP couldn't even spell "thread" correctly. Wasteland it please.

Where I live, AT&T is garbage and I'm not particularly impressed with Verizon, to be honest. Though I have great coverage, when I'm at work, I can't maintain a solid 3G connection. It's constantly going from 4 bars of 3G to 2G. When I'm at home, my 3G connection gets me less than 1mb/s at 4 bars (when I had AT&T, it was significantly faster. Their coverage was just lousy)

I've read Sprint's reviews here and they are pretty good. 4G coverage is almost non-existent, but I'm using a phone... I've convinced myself that 3G is plenty for mobile use.

So why not go for the cheaper of the 3 options and get unlimited data and text?

Well said. I left AT&T last year for the 4S, no regrets.

I'm assuming bc my order was placed by 1:35AM, I'll be in the first batch, but won't lie. I won't stop being worried until after I get my tracking number later this week. Hopefully Tuesday/Wednesday?

I ordered at 7 a.m. Central time

Mine was placed at 3:30 central. Up until then it wouldn't load for the many here. I almost went to sleep, but thank god I kept checking here when someone had said it was finally working.. I would've regretted going to sleep!

I'm in the first batch I'm sure being it's only an hour and a half after the pre orders started.
 
This tends to be typical when pre-ordering items. The company will do a pull on your account to make sure you have the funds available and then it's released and then actually charged.

Good to see this. Within hours they had pulled the money from my checking and it was under my Wells Fargo pending transactions. I had called Wells and Sprint and didn't get a clear answer. Also, the original amount pulled is more than what it is actually costing because the "estimated taxes" from the original order page were to high. On sprint.com it shows the lower amount under credits. My Apple Care +s are also "backordered". Here are parts of my Sprint chat:

Chat Reason: I bought 3 iphones this morning and my debit card was charged 1195.56. When I look at my summary on sprint.com, it shows payments made are only 1155.83. Why not the full amount I paid?

Customer: Also, I bought 3 Apple Care +s and the phones are dated to arrive 9/21 but the Apple care is backordered? Doesn't make sense

Louanna A: I understand that your account was charged $1195.56 however your Sprint account shows a payment of $1155.83. I would like to inform you that your Sprint account shows only total amount payment not the charges. That is the reason for difference in the amount. As you have already paid for apple care so once you contact us for activation please request for apple care add and we will add the apple care from our end.

I called Wells Fargo that Friday morning to make sure they didn't reject the charge or anything thinking it might be fraud. All looked ok on their end. I feel better knowing it is common for them to charge the bank, take it back, then they will recharge it later. They better charge that lower amount!

It also took me an hour an a half from midnight PST for the Sprint site to work. It was a long hour and a half! I would check, doze for 20 minutes, check . . .
 
And it has begun again!! The rush to pre-order and then the constant checking of the status. Then the excitement will die down until someone reports that they got a tracking number. The threads come alive again! Then we constantly check the tracking number to see if and when it moves. Then on Friday, we constantly check the tracking number due to a nervous tick in anticipation of the phone's arrival.

Maybe it's just me but that was me last year. It's going to be a fun week!!!

I'm still surprised, and maybe I shouldn't be... at how little activity there is on this Thread. Either no one ordered on Sprint or those that did don't bother checking in.

This year I couldn't even get to apple.com before shipping extended to 2 weeks, so I ordered through sprint.com. Kind of regretting that decision. I've never seen a line at a Sprint store for anything, and their website seems very unreliable. Not sure when I will get this phone. Here is a picture of my order status:

You're OK, only the 16GB slipped to 2 weeks. About the Apple Care + being "backordered," see my chat transcript above. Basically you paid for it but you just need to give them a call when you get the phone for them to add it. (I guess the 2 years starts on that date.)
