Had to call twice today. First time to activate my iphone 5. Second time to get them to activate it on the CORRECT line and reactivate my wife's 4s.

Wouldn't have been so painful except the telephone queues were 30+ mins.

For those activating, I recommend doing it through chat. It took less than 10 minutes for 3 numbers. I just gave him the phone numbers and serial numbers and he did the rest. He told me to turn off all 6 phones, he activated them, we turned on the 3 iphones and they connected.

I have my iPhone 5 still in the UPS box debating if I should buy those screen protectors at Sprint while I wait for my SGP to arrive on Tuesday.

Sprint and I are not friends right now.

Ordered at 10am EST on the 14th.

Received this e-mail last night:

Thanks again for pre-ordering the iPhone 5® from Sprint.

This email is to inform you that the shipping timeline for your iPhone 5 order has changed. Your order is being processed and we are working to get it to you as soon as possible. You will receive a shipping confirmation email in the next few days when your order ships.

The chat button wasn't an option it had disappeared from the website, plus they wouldn't be able to help me anyway. I have to call employee care for any kind of account maintenance. Seems no one else has the appropriate permissions to administer my account.

I initially tried the Chat function to activate and while it allowed me to connect to chat almost immediately, they put me on hold. I finally gave up because after 15 minutes, the message that would come up every 15 seconds that said, "Thank you for your patience, I will be with you in a moment," accompanied by the loud ding, (did I mention it was every 15 seconds?) was starting to give me a headache, ha.

I ordered a 16GB through Sprint.com.

If I want a 32GB model, can I get that exchange at the Apple store?

No, you can't. What you ordered is what you will get. If you want to exchange, only one way now is bring yours 16Gb to Sprint Store and return it ( pay $35 for restocking fee ) , and order again 32Gb. And will wait around 3 weeks to get new iPhone , hopefully soon if you enough lucky :cool:

has anybody noticed their signal strength go down with the new phone?

with the 4S, i had full 5 bars at my house. Now it seems im getting 2-3 and goes in and out of 3G.

Not sure if it's something with sprint or if it's the phone itself.

I'm getting the same amount of bars, maybe even 1 more. But I'm almost always on wifi.

I recommend activating phones through Sprint's chat as well. Quick and simple.

This is my first iphone. I got a white 32G and I put a cheap powder blue TPU case on it. It's so pretty I can't stop gazing at it!

Thanks. Looks like I'll keep my scuff free 16GB and make it work then. :apple:
