Sprint iPhone Pre-Order Status Thread

I guess it depends on how to define 'consumed'... So, all I've done today is constantly enter my order number in the sprint website, and be on the macrumors boards. I sent my secretary on a filing mission that had her out of the office most of the day, and yeh - the rest of the evening has been on here. Thats not consumed is it??
Maybe consumed with envy every time someone else says they got their tracking number!

Actually if you read my explination I said that they probably are pulling by sort location and SKU. The 64mb iPhone would be a different SKU. So my guess is that they have not started to pick that particular SKU. Based on my experience in retailing, I would say that the 64mb SKU has the smallest sales compared to the other SKU's.
Please keep in mind that I do not work for Sprint but I do know a thing or two about logistics.

The first thing I'm going to do with my white iPhone 4S is ask Siri how her ride was from the production line, to the warehouse, and finally to my hands.
Totally wasn't having a go at with you with my comment and appreciate your further explanation. Of everyone on here you are most rational and your explanations make most sense (although why do I have the feeling I'll not sleep until I see a tracking number!?!)

I will be honest with you...I was just like you just a few hours ago. I kept the Sprint order status page hitting refresh every chance I got!!! I also hang-out here hoping I can pick-up some hope that my new iPhone is coming home!!!
I was just trying to ground some of the people that sounded like they are in a panic worrying that their order was lost. Just remember that ONE MILLION of these babies were ordered in just 1 day....Thats over 41,600 iPhones per hour OR 694 iPhones a minute!!!!
Now try to imagine delivering all of those in one working day....8 maybe 10 hours!!!! YIKES!!!!

Soo I along with many of you am completely obsessed with getting this phone! I switched to Android for 1 yr and was waiting for Sprint to get the iPhone so I could switch back! I preordered my white iPhone 32gb with Sprint on Friday @ about 3:30am ET and got my confirmation email w/ tracking # yesterday afternoon. UPS only shows my order has a shipping label created. So I checked the status on the Sprint website and chatted with a rep who actually told me that my order shipped on 10/9/11 @ 3:47pm. He said UPS site takes a while to update so thats why it doesnt show on there. I also asked him where it was coming from and he said most likely Louisville, KY. I hope I get it early!! The anxiety is absolutely killing me! I have already ordered 2 cases online and bought 2 in a store near me. Loser, I know. lol

Well I sure hope they don't start using "64mb" SKU's because.. idk where they would have got those phones..

Hello! I just joined here in the hope to find answers about my iPhone... LOL... Well I ordered my iPhone 4S 64gb at 8am on Friday morning and have received no confirmation email. I did get my order number though, but that was after my order went through and went to another page.
Anyways, I just hop I eventually get this email. Im just so nervous something is going to go wrong with my iPhone. My order status still shows up as being in the factory, Shiny new iPhone.. blah blah blah, still no tracking number... I just want my iPhone! lol

I ordered my 64gb white iPhone 4S right when the Sprint site came up, and I still don't have a shipping email yet either. Mine says what yours does. (shiny iPhone in our warehouse...)
I am sure we will get one soon though.
I just had to give them the PIN on my account and confirm what I ordered and my billing address. It was pretty painless, and my order status moved from "we need to verify your order" or whatever to "your iPhone is in a warehouse, you'll have in on Friday or Saturday" within a few minutes of being on the phone.

Still shocked at 1 million iPhones in 24 hours.

I was guilty of that too. So much to the point that I was literally fiending to run to the computer and find out what I already knew; that it was "sitting in a warehouse blah blah blah". It was when I finally stopped looking that the email showed up.

it's insane, especially when you think that 1 million of us who paid for something we've never seen, never looked at in person, etc... and we're obsessing about tracking orders, i waited up till 4am to order it, and can't wait to get it in my hands. as I saw an earlier commenter post, thank you apple for getting us back in touch with our inner child and recapturing christmas morning for us!
