Don't lose hope. my status looked just like yours since sunday. then BAM got an email and all of my tracking numbers where in there. just keep going to the my orders link and copy and paste your order number and it'll update.

Wow, really? The image you posted sure doesn't seem to suggest that!

Well, if that's true, then a bunch of us who have the same text on our order status screens will probably also have back orders (including me, and I ordered Friday at around 4:40 am EDT).

Its now October 11th 8:30 am in China. That means they're just now waking up and getting to work. Shipment info should be updated within these next few hours am I right?

Are you F'n kidding me? I talked to a rep yesterday because mine looks like yours and he said my phones will be here the 14th or 15th.

Man, if that's the case.. this sucks. I ordered at 330AM too.

9to5, I am seeing the same thing, and was one of the early orders. See my above post, but i think most of these Jessica's and Mike's aka sprint reps, are clueless. Don't get worried yet. I ordered the same model as you, so I am thinking (maybe hoping) that it truly is in their warehouse in KY and therefore hasnt shipped yet (ie no tracking info)

You're actually talking to people that I work for.. Sprint hasn't given us information on this at all, you should feel lucky that you are having your order shipped to the right address, we have much more issues than your "why isn't it here yet" issues. Every order is having an issue with it either being the wrong color, wrong size, wrong phone (iP4 or iP4S), wrong address, etc. All we can see is what you see on the site. The inventory is said to be in our warehouse, and UPS has provided tracking numbers for the packages. We have had over 22,000 orders placed for the iPhones alone. We even had to delay other orders for other phones to 3-8 business days because of this.

I can vouch for the agent as this is what I have been told to say and that Sprint has informed us that we have had tracking numbers provided for the orders, but they have not left the warehouse and are waiting to be picked up.

wow. i didn't even think about other people on sprint, verizon, or att that are trying to order a phone thats not an iPhone 4 /4s. thats gotta suck. some loser tried to buy a flip phone on thursday and he hasn't seen an update since. he tries called the support line and all while us iPhone people are jamming the phone lines he sits there with a busy signal.

sucks to be that guy

I don't know what to say. Sprint Reps should all SAY the same thing. Have Supervisor brief them or something..

famousasjohn,
so are you mike or jessica?

on a more serious note, i get that she/you are saying what you are instructed to. so when i say things like, doesnt have a clue, its not a direct reflection on you, but on the lack of information you are able to provide, so if that comes from above, then superiors are to blame not you. i just wish i knew why some sprint customers have tracking information, and see movement with them, and others have no information at all. like i said, i have my own guess, whether thats true or not, who knows.

I talked to a rep a few minutes ago since I have the same status as yours but mines is a 16gb model.

He said that they are doing it in no particular order and they should leave the warehouse on the 12th to be delivered between friday and saturday.

Told me that I should have my tracking number assigned by tomorrow night.

according to famousasjohn, they are coached to say the same thing, but that doesnt seem to be happening. It sure leads to a lot of confused anxious people.

Ten bucks says if we all called enough one of us would get a Sprint rep who would insist that Sprint does not, nor ever plans to carry/offer the iPhone.

On Friday I called them first thing in the morning as soon as they started taking calls. Long story short, I had a little issue with my pre-order. So the woman that answers tells me that they don't carry the iPhone and that that is the reason why I couldn't get my pre-order to go through. I stayed quiet and then told her that pre-orders for the iPhone started that day. So then she calls her supervisor and when she gets back to me she apologizes and tells me that she was wrong but that she can't do anything. I had work so I just said screw it. After work I called again and they fixed the issue with no problem.

So far their customer service has been ok. Not good, but not as bad or as rude as AT&Ts.

i cant imagine how hellacious this week has been for you. despite my condescending tone, i really am grateful. :)

thanks for the info

It's definitely been hell since the preorders started. Hopefully these iPhones go out soon and make everyone happy, it would finally relieve pressure from my head because it's about to explode due to all these other issues with customers ordering the wrong one (iP4 went on preorder the 4th, and a crap ton of people thought it was the iPhone 4S, completely missing the huge banner at the top of the screen saying iPhone 4S on preorder 10/7/2011.) :( The major issue is incorrect addresses now. Not so much wrong phone.

No problem, just trying to get some truth out there for people to see because it seems quite a lot of misinformation sadly.

My tracking number updated for my 2 iPhone 4S (16gb-white). Will they be here on Wednesday (2 day shipping) ?

Misinformation it unfortunately the byproduct of the wonderful tool we love, the internet. Sure it existed before now, but we've basically strapped an acme rocket to it and sent wylie coyote out on the hunt. It refreshing for someone to share some insight, and bring some of the pieces together.

I wouldn't hold my breath..but keep checking..don't get upset..phone doesn't actually launch until the 14th..with it being a holiday, it won't be shipping today, thats for sure.

I purchased a white and black iphone 4s 16gb at around 4am pacific time on the 7th from sprint site..

I have shipping track for white, but black one still nothing.

It would be awesome to get them early but I'm not that impatient. Although I will be checking ;)

mine was the same way. white 32gb had a tracking number almost instantly. the black one took an extra day.

I ordered 2 White iphone 4s 16gb at around 2pm and got my tracking info this morning and it shows second day air. If thats correct, it should be here by wednesday....

What if mine is still processing? It was ordered at around 5pm and the email says I'm supposed to get it on the 14th or 15th of this month. What do you guys think?

stick to what your email says unless it's the 16th..;)

Just a little bit of fact for all of those that are awaiting your brand new iPhone 4s...

....The fact that Apple sold 1 million units in 24 hours is nothing short of a miracle!!!!

In order to get all of those phones to homes across the globe in a cost effective manner is no easy task. Warehouses are used around the globe and orders are usually run in the warehouse in waves. (yes we actually call them waves)

A wave groups orders in some type of logical order....for example warehouse location or by shipping type (overnight, ground..etc.)

In this case Im gonna say they are waving by pre-sort and SKU. The pre-sort ensures compliance with UPS/FedEx for cost effective shipping. Example...you would want to pick all of your iphone 4s 16GB going to zips that share hub/center. This way you have a pallet that can ship on the truck/plane/rail together and is sorted/counted/billed as 1 handling unit.

When that pallet arrives at a center/hub it can be effeciently sorted to the center and its feeder hubs at a much more reduced cost AND much greater effeciency. Can you imagine if they picked orders by when they were placed and all million iphones had to be sorted by the local centers/hubs for UPS/FedEx??? WOW!!!! we would never get our iphones.

I tried to cut out all of the logistical jargon and I tried to explain it so that all of you can rest assure that your orders will be picked and shipped!!

No I don't work for Sprint,ATT,Verizon, or Tmobile. Just work in logistics.:D:D

then I think you're using the internal order # and not the customer one. Yours is probably processed and just waiting to ship. You'll get your tracking # in an email once it's available.

Thanks!
