Sprint iPhone Pre-Order Status Thread

My card was charged right when I placed the order and yesterday I noticed that my bank account had more money than I thought it did. Once I put 2 and 2 together, I figured it was the charge for the phone, which it was. It completely fell off my bank account. When I checked Sprint, the total amount I paid was still documented there and just tonight, I received my tracking number. I'm only guessing that the money will be taken out as soon as the delivery has been confirmed. I'm sure they won't give me a $300 phone plus the AppleCare+ plan based on my good looks! 
What happened was I guess the longest that Sprint can put a hold on your debit card is three days, after that it is released. If your iPhone has already shipped, you still have the charge. Since mine wasn't after three days, it was dropped. It will still get paid, but not until they ship it. All is resolved.
this is strange. haven't gotten the shipping email yet but i just checked sprint and saw a tracking number. of course there is no information in UPS yet, just that a label has been created.
but when i track it from Packagetrackr, not only does it say delivery on 10/12 (yay!) but it shows the little gift wrapped package icon in lees summit. I live in kansas city - lees summit is about 30 minutes away.
is it possible that it's already in the city? is there some sort of sprint warehouse in lees summit?

EDIT: i just read on the sprintusers forum that the reason the 64gb hadn't had tracking numbers yet is because sprint didn't physically have them - apple did. no idea if that is true or not. someone heard that from a sprint rep.

Sprint's headquarters are in Kansas City, so it is possible and would make sense.

well yes, i know this. i actually worked at sprint for 6 years. i guess i was just surprised because it didn't seem like any other sprint people had theirs shipping from KC? i guess i'll know more when UPS updates because as of now, on the UPS site, there is no originating city.
Yeah that was me that posted that.. It was from today that I was told this when calling Order Support to inquire why everyone with 16 and 32 gig orders have got shipping notifications and eta's for 10/12 delivery dates, meanwhile, I ordered 1hr after preorders opened up and I haven't seen a damn thing since my confirmation email.
When you go to packagetrackr.com and put in your Tracking Number from UPS, it'll show you an icon with a house and an icon with a gift box. The house is the delivery destination and the gift box is the package being sent to you.
On a side note, it shows the house and gift box right next to eachother on my order and I know that Sprint doesn't have a warehouse in Belle Glade, Florida. lol
okay. maybe it's just doing that because there isn't any information loaded to UPS yet?
Could be. The only information that matters to me is the "ship date" and "delivery date" LOL
Packagetrackr looks cool and all but I'll take UPS's tracking information as law as soon as they update it. Packagetrackr says the 12th but I won't believe it until UPS's tracking site says the same. I think Packagetrackr takes the shipping method and the date the label was printed and gives you an estimated date of arrival. If that were to be true, that puts the phone to me on the 12th, which I won't mind one bit.
Sprint's warehouse is located in Kentucky. We don't ship from anywhere else.
Mine just shipped and was provided a tracking number, 64gb black. I'm in California if that helps, but it seems like the 64gb were the last to be shipped. I ordered it a few minutes after the website was updated to order the iphone. I did order it from the sero website to save a little on the MRC, so I thought this was what was delaying the order, but apparently everyone was in the same boat.
how do you still have a sero plan? they made me drop my awesome sero plan and get 'simply everything' when i got the htc evo a year ago. i loved my sero plan - best plan ever.
I live about an hour away from Sprint's distribution center in Kenucky and my tracking number shows 2nd day air for delivery on 12th like a few others on this post. 32gb white 4s
hey guys I pre ordered my iphone on the release date at around 3 am and most of you have gotten a tracking number. The only one I have is from sprint itself. Could it be because im a new customer? Do you guys with the tracking numbers have sprint before?
i am a current customer and i got my tracking number an hour or so ago. i have yet to receive the shipping email from sprint though. i just happened to check the sprint orders site and saw it up there.
ugh I just checked today and it just tells me that its in their warehouse, my bank acct is still saying its processing the payment....
Yeah that's pretty much the one. I think they renamed them. The original sero plans are long gone. The new sero are 500 min for $59.99 with the $10 data, so $69.99 instead of the standard $79.99.
trust me, simply everything is not a renamed 'sero'. for $50 a month i got 1250 minutes with overage minutes costing 5 cents each, unlimited data and text.
No that's they're called now. Simply everything is sero now. If you search google for "Sprint Sero Email" you will find a link to the website and how to access the sero website with iphones for pre order. Unfortunately, all you will see is the simply everything plans.
I had the $30 for 500 min with unlimited data and text >,< but I would have been stuck with a Touch Pro for the rest of my life if I wanted to keep it.
All right, it's really irritating the **** out of me that I don't have a tracking number yet when so many who ordered the phone after me already do. I preordered a 16GB at 5am on 10/7.
