Got tracking numbers early this morning, but they still don't go anywhere in UPS's tracking system. Ah well. Holding out hope they'll be delivered on Thursday, assuming they leave the warehouse today with 2-day air service.

Sprint iPhone Pre-Order Status Thread

Not in my case. I received my tracking number at 4:50, and it's still not in the UPS system. Very bizarre.
My status was just changed this morning to read:

I called this morning to have my shipping addresses changed, and they took my information and said they'd escalate the issue... I hope they can fix this, otherwise my phone will be stuck out of state for a few days. I'm now relying on someone from India knowing what the hell they're doing, and that's a big gamble.
Same situation with mine. Oddly, my tracking number is associated with the original order number I received (the dy-shso-xxxxxxxxx number) and not the order number shown in my Sprint account (the DM-XX-xxxxxxxxxx number).
The email I received indicated that the tracking number may not show up on UPS's website until the end of the week, so it's not too strange or anything... was hoping for an early delivery, but I'll be happy if it gets here on Friday.
Anyone confirm whether these will need to be signed for? I'm just assuming as much, and was hoping to leave a preautorization form for UPS but I'm not sure I can do that if it doesn't show up on their website until the day it's supposed to get here.
Has anyone actually seen any movement on their shipment? I'm curious to see what other people have because a lot of us have gotten the "10/12/11" delivery date but to me, it seems that PackageTrackr just grabs the original ship date, the delivery method and assumes it'll arrive 2 days after the ship date. Can anyone post up a pic of their shipping information to actually show that it's moving with a confirmed delivery date of the 12th (or 13th or 14th) from UPS themselves?
Most orders were printed on the 10th with 2 day shipping but you will not receive on the 12th Maybe the 13 but if not def the 14th. They def did not go out on the 10th just created that day
Yep. That's what I was figuring. I just wanted to see if anyone had any visual help from UPS stating that their package is slated for delivery on the 12th or 13th. I knew the printing label was merely just printed and then UPS has to swing by to pick up the stuff.
Quick question for everyone here. I currently have a 16GB white model iphone 4Gs reserved at bestbuy. However, with all the preorder mess going on with bestbuy, I was thinking about canceling it and preordering a 32GB Model iPhone 4S through sprint instead.
With that said, if I were to preorder with Sprint...do any of you think I'd still get it on 14th or the 15th like the site states or should I just go ahead and keep my preorder with bestbuy?

UPS usually doesn't do pickups until the afternoon, so hopefully we will start seeing progress before 5 EST
My understanding is that the original pre-orders sold out. And that any new orders are going to be at least another week or two out. Granted that's all just from reading other posts on this board. You might try calling Sprint or Apple directly and see what they say.
Well, I recieved my tracking number for my Black 32GB 4S about 11AM EST yesterday. No updates on it since then, not too concerned with that but I'm definitely getting antsy.

I've been stuck with an EVO4G (awesome hardware, not so awesome software IMO) since December after having to close our AT&T account and selling my iPhone 4. Will be great to be back, my iPad's the only thing that kept me in the loop.

haha, definitely. see you're in Florida too. since ours haven't had the first scan I'm assuming they're still in some warehouse in China and still have to make the trip to Alaska before making the cross-country trip to our doorsteps.
I was hoping for a Thursday delivery but I'm not getting my hopes up at this point.
I ordered mine from Sprint themselves and from what I understand, they come from Kentucky. This is all internet speculation because there's no concrete evidence that Kentucky has them and they are shipping from there, only the fact that Sprint does send out phones from Kentucky.
Sucks. Wish I could just go to sleep and wake up on the 14th and be ready for it but my family and schoolwork prohibit such extravagant measures.

Same thing here. Mine hasn't updated yet since about 9:00pm est yesterday.
I'm with you completely! I've been dual-wielding a four'ish year old blackberry curve and an iPod Touch for a while now. I dropped the iPod Touch a few weeks ago and shattered the screen. I almost went straight to the store to replace it, but fortunately got online first to find out that "something" new was coming out in the iPhone/iPod world. And not only that, Sprint is going to be onboard for iPhones. So I'll finally be back to just lugging one device around and still have access to all the stuff I loved on the iPod. Good times.
Now if my stupid tracking screen would just update so I could quit refreshing it every couple minutes. lol

I read somewhere about that too, but like you, I took it with a grain of salt.
I ordered via Sprint's website about 10-11AM Friday. But I expected them to come straight from China like my iPhone did last year. Who knows, Sprint would chalk up a win in my book they were really in Kentucky and we got them early.
You and I have the same issue. My tracking number doesn't even state if its left China yet.
Does say its scheduled for delivery tomorrow as well.
