UPS handles the fulfillment for Sprint handsets (including returns), they are not just the shipping carrier. Their system will assign the correct shipping product to meet the delivery commitment set in the order when it is transferred to them. Just like Amazon says 2-day shipping and generally my orders come via ground or even some USPS product.

Now, why Sprint has to use "Overnight Shipping" is unknown to me. They should just say 1-day shipping, which refers to the commitment not the specific product used by the carrier.

So the priority being location makes sense depending on what they have to ship out? I don’t know much about this so I’m pulling at straws but it’s the only logic I’ve been able to apply to this.

If it’s any help to your theory, I’m in SoFlo and received my tracking information at around 5:30 PM EST for an 8+ SG 64GB.

It’s probably a coping mechanism at this point but yeah, I think that helps lol. I’m not interested in taking it too seriously aka data entry but maybe for the X it’ll be easier to figure it out since it’s only four SKUs.

It lets you monitor iPhone shipments and once you get your shipping notification, you can use your information to figure out which flight it's on, unless it's already stateside.

If your order was canceled, it would show canceled on order status. I canceled mine last year to re-order a different model that became available and it reflected on my order status immediately.

Last year was one of the most ridiculous situations I can imagine for a company to put its customers through. Sprint's site crashed immediately, leaving hoards of people unable to order their phones when they wanted. Those of us lucky enough to order them were then told that we'd have to wait for a while, because reasons. But nobody really knew what those reasons were. Sprint kept its customers in the dark, totally killing all confidence, and things got real. Anybody who remembers last year's dilemmas will immediately know what I'm talking about.

Last years preorder was one hell of a fiasco. Last years thread was hundreds of pages long by this time. And it continued for a month or so. 7+ shipments were delayed by 1-2 months. Shipments were going out so randomly. It was like they were running the lottery. You got your phone if you were lucky to have your number picked.

Have your tried using your enterprise number as the reference number? Also when I got my tracking information, It wasn't registered with UPS yet for a good 6 hours. So even IF it has been assigned tracking and Sprint hasn't informed you yet, it still may not show up in UPS's system yet even if it would be traceable by your enterprise number.

Yes! I was just thinking about how there are only 10 pages this year... last year, it was this nonstop barrage of posts. It frustrated me so much that I'm pretty much at the point now where I'll be amazed if I even get a phone this year. Pretty sure I ordered one, but if the order didn't go through or whatnot, then I won't really care. That completely destroyed all the fun of preorders for me and I'll be fine hanging onto my 7+ if I have to. Not to mention, I am bummed that the MB finish is no longer an option.

I went to preorder and I was met with the extremely unexpected $150 down payment requirement. I was not ready for that, nor was I happy about it. I questioned whether or not I wanted to go through with it, but I ultimately did. Everything was normal and I went to sleep. While I was sleeping, I got all the emails and notifications saying everything had gone through and the order was pending. Then I got a text later the next day telling me that my down payment was declined and I needed to update my payment information. This didn't make sense to me since my card had plenty of available funds on it. I checked my credit statement and nothing showed as being different, so I just disregarded the text and decided to just let whatever happens, happen. If the charge ends up being kicked back and I don't get my phone, oh well. I'll just be irked that something went wrong with my card when I know there is no issue with it.

Ah. Yeah I wouldn't count on getting a phone to be honest. Especially if you had not be charged or anything. My charges appeared immediately. What does the MyStatus page say about your order number?

That's the weird thing. It showed as having posted on my credit statement, but Sprint said it did not go through. And the order status page is fully operational for me, so I'm not sure if some wires crossed and it was just a glitch or if I'll just not get the phone. Since I live so close to the UPS fulfillment center, I most likely won't get any sort of shipping update until the very last second

I had something similar happen. When I tried to ask them how I would update my payment, though I had a pending charge on my account that eventually fell off, they told me that it would just show up as a part of my next bill. They assured me it would not impact my shipping or the arrival of my phone. Dont know if that helps you at all.

Interesting. Well it may very well have gone through. Just something got mixed up. But I would say if you don't get a phone Friday, I'd be calling Sprint saying, You preordered. Your card statement shows they charged you for it. Where is it. I would make them honor the transaction since clearly you were charged. I wouldn't trust them though.

Well, lets have high hopes. This is Sprint we are dealing with. I'd like to think they know their head from their ass but that's not always the case. They make claims and statements that are no good sometimes.

My UPS tracking still shows Order Processed: Ready for Pick Up. I got shipping this morning. Last time I didn't have movement till like midnight of the day it shipped which I'm assuming is their pick up time. So I expect it to be origin scanned tonight. Or else it better be moving tomorrow. It's going from Louisville to Dallas.
