I can confirm after getting shipping notification, I ran some numbers through the track by reference to see which information is linked to my shipment, The number that brought up my package using the reference tool was my enterprise number found on my order confirmation E-Mail. The enterprise number is located under your order number at the top of the E-Mail. It's a 7 digit number/letter code labeled "Enterprise Number"
How do you track by reference number? I can only track by tracking number.

Chat about order...

LIES ROBIN! LIES!

EDIT: In all seriousness, I think there are so many different factors to shipping that we’re never going to fully understand it. But here’s my theory anyway:

They have to ship it by Model, then take into account travel time (if they’re going to arrive by 9/22) so once they get batch x they assign it to orders based on location and order date (I don’t think time has anything to do with it this time around).

Many have noted it comes in waves.. first the 8, then the 8+. So they divide batch x for the west coast (assuming it’s coming out from KY), and then go from there with orders placed on 9/15. I would assume my order coming to the east coast can be processed last without issue. Then open the next batch and do the same (explaining how different models under the same account get shipped at different times).

Now many will say that if you’re shipping next day air it doesn’t matter, but I would hope that they have all of the west/south figured out tonight and east/north tomorrow, regardless of speed.

What do you guys think?

I do find it slightly off that I got my tracking number shortly after chatting with a representative...

Got my tracking info!!
Looks like there might be a second shipping wave this evening as I predicted.

Btw for those who were discussing the next day shipping charge. We all got charged for it, but funny thing is, my UPS tracking says 2 day air saver. So we paid for next day but they obviously shipped it 2 day, obviously they can’t deliver it next day, that would be considered an early delivery since they are held til Friday. So making us pay for next day when they know we can’t get it next day, is a foolish joke. I will be requesting a refund for my shipping.

I noticed that on mine as well! I’m going to be calling and requesting a refund too.

So if we all got 2-day air saver, is it safe to say my phone won’t get to me until Monday? I say this because it appears as though it won’t actually ship today, unless we actually have overnight shipping and it’s just displayed as otherwise.

Not exactly. Those who’s shipped today they shipped it 2 day to make a profit off our shipping fee. Why ship it one day when it only needs to get here in 2 days and it’s cheaper?

Those who’s devices ship tomorrow, will ship with next day delivery which is what we all paid for.

Just making money off the ones who they can.

I reached out to the sprint chat and they told me that my shipping info exists and that they updated the system and it should reflect by tomorrow with a delivery date on friday...i guess people that received theirs already are actually early?

$10.00 is probably cheaper than two day air for UPS. Just a guess I haven't checked

Me too!
I feel like this further proves they ship according to geographic locations based on transit times. Further away places get shipped first and closer places with shorter transit times are shipped the day before. I feel like tomorrow, shipping will be going through the roof

I wouldn't trust them. They were just telling you what you wanted to hear. They know most orders will ship tomorrow so it means nothing to them to tell you that.

I doubt it. You know they get corporate business shipping rates. Especially bulk shipping rates. The business I work for, I handle all our shipping needs and our business shipping discounts are almost 1/2 of what you'd pay as a regular consumer. Each iPhone is listed as 1.3lb shipping weight.

Still no shipping on my end. Has anyone in the North East with 8+ seen any movement on their orders?

I’m in Pennsylvania. I received my shipping info this morning.

UPS handles the fulfillment for Sprint handsets (including returns), they are not just the shipping carrier. Their system will assign the correct shipping product to meet the delivery commitment set in the order when it is transferred to them. Just like Amazon says 2-day shipping and generally my orders come via ground or even some USPS product.

Now, why Sprint has to use "Overnight Shipping" is unknown to me. They should just say 1-day shipping, which refers to the commitment not the specific product used by the carrier.
