Looks great! So it’s the same color as the space grey iPhone?
Very similar color as the Space Gray but more shiny, which can be due to the fact that my iPhone has been used for nearly 3 years.

Just received it! I matches with my space gray iPhone X and I guess also with next iPhone versions based on stainless steel. It will probably line up with the colors of the new iPhone 12.

My partner just picked up a graphite SS and it's a very shiny and a nice colour
It's a shade somewhere between the silver and space black SS. Looks gold in certain angles and black in others. I like it a lot.
I’m still hopeful. The picture up-thread makes the watch look very similar to the Space Grey bit of the iPhone 11 Pro. Here is my Space Black S5 with Link against my phone, and they look very similar in real-world lighting:Damn it, looks like I’m going for the more expensive Hermes![]()
Came here to post this. Bummer, it’s more of a difference than I was hoping for. It’s almost closer to being shiny space grey.

The SSSB was virtually scratch proof because of the DLC coating. Does the Graphite Grey have the DLC coating as well?
Picking mine up today. Have the black ti 5 now but kinda want a new color. Have the black ti on order and may return it if I like the graphite better. I wonder if its a thinner dlc coating to make it lighter? Hope not.
I wondering the same thing regarding the DLC coating. I do think they lightened the color in hopes that more bands could match.
Yes I kinda wanted something with a little more subtle bling. I’m bored of the Ti. The novelty of Ti has worn off
Good info for folks.
Interestingly the Graphite Milanese Loop product page claims "An additional physical vapor deposition (PVD) layer gives the graphite stainless steel its distinctive finish." https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MYAQ2/44mm-graphite-milanese-loop
... before reading too much into that, the Gold Milanese Loop page says "An additional physical vapor deposition (PVD) layer gives the gold stainless steel its distinctive finish."
I'm guessing the marketing team fkd up the description.
I think this may have been correct and intentional. The Space Black PVD Milanese Loop was essentially the only material that could scratch the Space Black watch. So you had a super scratch-resistant watch attached to a band that easily scratched it. There have been many complaints and, I believe, a lawsuit over it. So making the graphite Milanese Loop using PVD would make it slightly less “hard” than the DLC watch, reducing the likelihood that the band scratches the watch.,
There's another video of the Graphite SS here alongside the Milanese loop.
Just received mine, it is in fact a LOT lighter than the Space Black. So is the ‘black’ band it comes with.

I will try the link bracelet on it in a few, and let you know how bad the mismatch is.
