Kind of disappointing. Was hoping for a 10-15 date. But now 22-26. I go on vaca the 25th so hopefully before that

I'm decidedly unhappy. I was x:30. I mean, what was the point of preordering at all? Apple didn't have it ready and should've simply said so. I can't believe it takes that long to plate a handful of watches. This is just incompetent.

By this point I'm seriously considering ebaying the package outright, and making a few bucks off the whole thing. I thought it'd take, oh, maybe a month and a half from my order. Not two and a half months.

Besides, why would it take 2-3 weeks to get any new orders out at all? Do they plan on stocking the stores or something?

Mine also updated today to Available to ship 2-3 weeks; delivers 22-26 June
Email confirmation received xx:17:53
in Houston, TX

Has there been frequent history of them delivering before that?

So let me get this straight: You placed your order a half hour after orders had begun. You were shown that shipping was some time during the entire month of June, yet you are "decidedly unhappy"? Chances are you will get it before June 22.

Well I think he's upset about the whole process. If there were a million space black watches 42mm ordered within the first 30 minutes and he got a June date then sure that makes sense.

But to order within the first 30 mins.. And get his 2 weeks before someone who orders it today makes no sense

And based on manufacture dates of 4/17 for those who ordered within the first minute it's clear apple goofed up. No point in preorders or availability dates when you have no stock

The only way these dates make sense if it's truly "under promise, over deliver" and we are actually getting our watches next week. I will be VERY surprised if it actually takes until June 22nd to get my watch. And by surprised I mean annoyed.

The last week of June-which it essentially is-isn't something you expect after a half hour, especially when other models are still showing May. I'm allowed to think this is botched. But thank you for telling me I'm not allowed an opinion. I appreciate your opinion-truly.

Yes. Exactly.

That pretty much sums it up. Also, I strongly doubt there were a million space black watches sold-so I'm kind of not sure what the heck is taking so long. I don't understand why, say, my debating in my mind for which watch to get makes me get delayed a whole month. I do appreciate that-fine, I wasn't quick enough, whatever. But a half hour leads to a delay of a month? I think there was a lot more expectation for the iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus. I remember getting the 6+, getting a range, and it not appearing in stores immediately after I got it. Why bother waiting on line at all?

I think the people who just got new estimates for the 22nd are definitely going to get theirs early, for three reasons:

1. If people who ordered at xx:15, 17, and 30 are getting 6/22, the only way they would actually have to wait that long would be if Apple just stopped shipping for 3 weeks. Wouldn't make sense.

2. July people like myself still have a 7/6 to 7/14 range. So, what, Apple is going to just stop filling orders until 6/22, and then somehow jump from the xx:15 orders all the way to the july people? Not gonna happen.

3. We've seen this happen before with other models, where everyone gets a far off date, then few by few they suddenly get an update & they get their watch within a few days.

Bottom line, I would be extremely surprised if you xx:15-30 people didn't get yours early.

Ordered at XX:09, got confirmation email at XX:23 (42MM in Canada) and just got my status updated to the following:

Processing Items Available to ship: 2-3 weeksDelivers: 23 Jun - 30 Jun by Expedited Shipping

I really hope that they can get these out more quickly than that... I can't believe there's that much leftover demand... from orders placed in the first hour

edit: also just noticed I have a temporary charge for AppleCare again. It first showed up a few weeks ago and disappeared sometime late last week. A new charge was just placed within the past hour so hopefully these dates are still on the pessimistic.

Weird. My date is 2-3 weeks June 22-26.but it says standard shipping not expedited

While I hope you're right (for myself) I sort of don't understand why Apple couldn't deliver us this information MONTHS ago, instead of leading us to believe that they'll simply be ready sooner than later (remember they expected them earlier than June? Yeah. This is pretty much July). If I had a definite range, I'd be less mad now at the way things are shaping up, simply because I knew that "June" meant "July" and not "June"-and anyone who doesn't think June 22-26 means "July" is a stockholder or an idiot. I hope the former-stockholders are in it to make money. Idiots...I'm not sure what they're in it for. If I'm going to root for a team, honestly, I'd rather root for the Blackhawks or Lightning-NBC carries their products on time to my consumption. "6/3" means...8:17PM. It doesn't mean, 6/3 at 3PM. Unless it is 11:59PM. Imagine sports games scheduled this way. There's no reason Apple couldn't tell me "Late June" months ago as far as I could see and then surprise me by moving it up. This is unacceptable. OK, the tangent means I need to get back to the game. But...

Furthermore, Apple might've only produced enough to make their commitments and then some. It could be they don't have the means to produce significant quantities for a few weeks. Or, they could be devoting production to filling the stores (stockpiling 42 ss cases, before applying DLC coating, making none available to get to DLC), and using "June" as a technicality to say, well, we're filling it in the time frame. So while your post would make sense in terms of common sense, it begs the question-how many 42mm cases did Apple make, and how many do they need to make?

I apologize if I offended you. Of course you are entitled to your opinion. I understand that you feel unhappy.

To you and anyone confused about the last sentence you said (ive bolded it for reference), apple attaches serial numbers to the LOGIC BOARD. Since these logic boards are all the same, they probably had the boards manufactured WAY before the case. This is something that is most likely to happen with not only the new macbook pro but also the watch, they had logic boards from factories cranking out, while quanta or whoever, couldnt get the 8 different case types manufactured fast enough, ESPECIALLY the SPACE BLACK STAINLESS STEEL DLC coated ones. You can see in apples video the manufacturing shows a tray of 20 cases getting painted, polised and dlc'd. But at what speed? If the order amount is 100k, and they can only push out 10k a week, its going to take awhile.

I say this because it takes 9 hours to make the link bracelets, lets say a batch of "10k" cases is ready in 2 days, you still have to wait for the link bracelets to be made.

Face it, our watch is the most pain in the ass watch to make. Its a new process apple has NEVER dealt with before. Stainless steel is easy, and thats why they are almost caught up. Our's goes through another step which has a 24-48 hour curing time.

I say this because now that I have my SBSS, even though i was very impatient and you can see it in this thread, im glad I waited and didnt cancel. This is one of the most beautiful watches and pieces of tech ive ever handled / worn. I would never think twice about selling it or cancelling. Be patient and itll pay off. Flip it and youll slap yourself later when you buy one in store a month or two down the road.

Mine for July says standard shipping as well, not expedited... Wonder if it's ups shipping or fedex shipping. I know a buddy of mine and myself ordered the space grey sport band at the same time. Shipped same time, one FedEx and other UPS... Wonder if it's the same with watches?

We've seen FedEx delivering a few watches of late. Prior to that UPS was exclusively the courier (though, they do subcontract in some regions). People shouldn't quibble over expedited/standard - they're trying to get the watches to everyone as quickly as they can. The tracking shows that. Will people that order in July have to wait as long as the people that ordered in April? Nope. They'll be caught up then and people will get them within a couple weeks.
We've been at this for 2 months. They didn't start filling the SB SS's until a few weeks ago. At least we're seeing them get caught up.

With any luck, we'll all receive our watches at the front end (or before) the windows they've given us.

with a xx:17 order...

This is some BS. There are people who have the same order minute as me and got it on Monday/Tuesday.... now i have a ship date 3 weeks out. Its ridiculous. I don't care about the "you will get it early"

Why the #### can people order other watches and get a 2-3 week time frame or even the 38mm with a 5-7 day time frame TODAY. Why cant Apple use those resources to make our watches that we have been waiting for for over almost 2 g0d damn months.

You're not going on a cruise are you? Lol

Some consolation is that the watch is worth the wait as it is beautiful.
Besides constraints, Its obvious Apple didn't anticipate the large number of SSSB watches they were going to sell.

They didn't anticipate it.... But when they got they preorders... they did. They could of ramped up production on this.

I think the 3 weeks gap will be used to produce the watches for the stores and after this they gonna deliver the rest to us :-(((
I am optimistic that we will see ten start shipping in the next few days, honestly. But if they do wait, I'll be raging mad. It's not like we were day after orders or April 24... We ordered the NIGHT OF.

I hope not. I think that they will stock the stores with mostly Sport Watches and maybe some Stainless Steel. I don't think we will see any high end watches at launch in the stores. I'm remaining optimistic because I can't think of a time when Apple screwed over those who pre-ordered a product in favor of someone who wants to walk in to a store and by the exact same product months after launch. Maybe I'm being naive....

Mine has changed today for the first time also, in Sydney, ordered at xx:13:46 - now says delivers 22/6-26/6 - pretty frustrated.

Yeah when the first gold iPhone came out it was horribly understocked and there was a huge backlog from pre orders. It was also almost impossible to buy in store - they mostly cleared the backlog before shipping out to stores
