I have a friend who also ordered SS Link. He ordered with PayPal, but then lost and cancelled his cc tied to pp acct. When contacting paypal they stated he would have to handle with manufacturer. He called apple which stated paypal is a loan model and not a cc model. Meaning he can't just use a new card. Although Apple is trying to keep him in queue they stated if they can't resolve by 5/4 he would need to reorder. This made us believe they may be processing his order on the 4th."

Are you kidding? Apple is notorious when it comes to celebrity product placement. They had an entire ad campaign with celebrities using Siri, and they've had ads with people like Yao Ming as well as Stephen Colbert showing off his iPad at the Oscars, to name a few examples.
I think he is only referri g to the bracelet alone, which had an other delivery window: I think beginning the 8 or 9 may
Maybe that is what Nik meant, but the quote above says the guys friend ordered a "SS Link". Doesn't say if it was a full watch or just the bracelet.
However the SS Link watch and SS Space Black Link watch both had 4-6 week dispatch times on the 10th April.

Mine just says 'June', I ordered over the phone and was talking to the guy as the system went live.

I know they haven't missed any delivery windows but I'm really not impressed at all with this wait and the overall sloppy nature of this roll out. I'm ready to give them $1099 and they seem to be taking their sweet time to take it. I would have been much more impressed if they had delayed the launch and had every model available at the same time. It's just messy, it doesn't feel like Apple to me and certainly doesn't feel like the standard I have come to expect from them.

Not so true: My Imac late 2013 take more then a month to come, I paid more than 3000 Euros and didn't had an exact delivery date!
I don't understand the people who are whining... I want the watch and don't mind if I get it one week later.. (But I want to get it as fast as possible ^^)
It's funny how the wait transforms some grown people in little children: If I don't get it now I will cancel...
