It doesn't help that they kept saying "some people" will be getting theirs before their estimates, creating a false hope in groups like ours. When you continue to fill orders ahead of schedule for everyone except a specific model, don't be surprised when they get upset that theirs didn't also.

I might be mistaken but if Space Black watches aren't in the hands of customers by Wednesday, it will be the first time a model has completely missing being shipped to anyone that ordered it on the first day of the window.

You would be correct. We should start seeing movement shortly as a plane from China is landing soon. Hopefully some space black will be on there.

Looks like nobody will be getting these on Day 1 of the shipping window. That sucks a lot. If nobody gets any this week, then Apple should have said 5-6 weeks instead of 4-6 weeks.

I know I know, even if they deliver by May 27 it's still technically "on time" but this is far from what I expected when everyone was saying the shipping dates were conservative. The middle (or even end) of a shipping window is far from conservative.

If I had a nickel...

It's getting a bit ridiculous how many times this has been re-hashed. You had a delivery window you agreed to, it was a 2 week window. You placed your order knowing that was your window. I understand you want your watch, but you agreed to that window. If you're impatient, thats your fault but Apple is still in the right here.

The link bands just started shipping, you didn't think there would be any additional time required to apply the DLC? Let me know when you get back to reality, I'll take you out for a drink:)

One plane about to land in Alaska.
Four about to take off to Louisville

Fingers crossed.

I don't really disagree with you but what do you think about not knowing that the delivery window would be later until the middle of the night April 10?

AppleCare Charge

What seems to have been the average time between AppleCare being charged and the watch being charged for all the other models? My SBSS's AppleCare got charged yesterday afternoon, and I've just been patiently waiting (like the rest of you fine people) for the watch itself to get charged.

I can agree to something and still be impatient. I'm not demanding anything, just voicing thoughts, which is the purpose of a forum. If venting on a forum is your definition of a departure from reality, then your absence of reality is much greater than mine. It's all good man.

It might have been nice of Apple to communicate that prior to April 10. However, I would have bought the same watch. I think most people here would have, otherwise they would have cancelled and ordered a different watch.

Spoke to Maxfield in LA where I have 2 42mm SBs on order, and they said they'll "likely be getting them next week." Take that with a giant grain of salt FWIW.

Not sure which thread, but I recall someone being told the same thing by a Maxfield rep last week. With that "next week" being this week.

Personally I'm going not going to take those kind of statements from Maxfield seriously. I'd rather leave Maxfield out of the equation. I can only imagine what this thread will look like if they start getting SB LB's before we do.

Mark my words. Cards will be charged overnight tonight between 2-6am eastern. They will be delivered on Thursday.

I probably would've ordered the same watch but if I had know I could've gone with a stainless sport band and got a link band later, I may have done that. By the time I figured this out, shipping estimates had shipped by about a month so I figured why bother. It's not any hugely offensive thing and I'm not complaining, just suggesting that it's understandable to be frustrated. Apple's silence on the entire launch has been somewhat frustrating as well. Perhaps we don't deserve anymore clarity.

To be fair, this would be the first watch that didn't get delivered to a single customer at the beginning of a shipping window so there is a legitimate expectation that at least some would make it out for delivery on the 13th. Sure there's a 2 week window, but when every other watch order has either shipped early or made the first day of a window for the earliest customers then you can't be surprised when people are upset they were in the group that is the exception to the rule.

Most likely if they are charged tonight they will get them Wednesday that's been the norm. Watch delivered in the first 24hr of CC being charged.

Pack it up boys, Apple has forgotten us. Better take that $1200 and invest in a Google stock.

That's about 2 whole shares.

So you're saying people that pre-ordered have not received their orders, because of Maxfield? That's objectively false.

People who preordered at :01 AM still haven't received 42mm SG BSBs while Maxfield was inundated with them. If that's not priority, I don't know what is.

My girlfriend ordered at :05 and has had her 42mm Space Grey watch which had an estimated delivery window for 5/13 - 5/27 for a couple of weeks now. My sister has also received the same watch and she had an :07 order So it's obvious to me that some store isn't getting "priority" over pre-orders. I don't know what's happening to the orders that allegedly were at :01 and haven't received their watches yet, but that's not it.
