So are we too late in the day to have CCs charged and here by tomorrow?

I ordered a gaming laptop once that I was very anxious to receive. After a months wait late at night, I got charged, shipping and tracking info, and it was at my door by 10am the very next morning. It was magical

Salt in the wound: my girlfriend's Aluminum Green Sports Band watch that I ordered weeks after my Space grey which had an initial ship date of "June" just went from Processing to Shipped...and it had an updated delivery window that started a day after my Space Black, which is still processing. Ugh.

If I had a nickel...

It's getting a bit ridiculous how many times this has been re-hashed. You had a delivery window you agreed to, it was a 2 week window. You placed your order knowing that was your window. I understand you want your watch, but you agreed to that window. If you're impatient, thats your fault but Apple is still in the right here.

The link bands just started shipping, you didn't think there would be any additional time required to apply the DLC? Let me know when you get back to reality, I'll take you out for a drink:)

I disagree. Yes, I had a delivery window that I agreed to. I select my watch based on the window, May 13-27. The other options (all other SS models) I liked were showing shipping in June and July. I ordered those bands separately, but opted for the watch that shipped the soonest (based on the information provided by apple at the time of my order).

BUT...apple has been delivering the June and July models prior to my window. That is what I take issue with. My window is now here, but had I gone with any of my other options, I would have had my watch sevaral days ago. It's like selecting a line at the grocery store that has the fewest people, only to watch them open up the other lines and serve others first. I had no issue with the window I accepted, But it is frustrating to have to watch so many others jump ahead.

Cancel your order and order a different watch. You've had quite a while to do that, since you were only selecting a watch based on the shipping date.

There is some speculation that we'll get charged tonight, around 6 or so. I am not sure how accurate that is though.

^^^^^^ This was on Page 1 of the SSLB thread. Dated April 21 haha. Just goes to show you that literally nobody knows what they're talking about! We're like a bunch of blind pigs in a barn waiting for our dinner!

People who preordered at :01 AM still haven't received 42mm SG BSBs while Maxfield was inundated with them. If that's not priority, I don't know what is.

Maxfield might've also had a long standing deal in place before pre-orders that Apple couldn't just re-neg on.

While I understand your frustration (I'm in the boat with everyone else), I think it plays to the fact Apple should've just had an online exclusive launch OR store-made reservation system on a first come first serve. Instead, they went the hard fashion route. I think it would've been in fact more logical to have this many SKUs for the iPhone-you know, steel case, sapphire glass, etc. to see how it worked out, or taken a reservation system months before release (IE: Pre-order back when the watch was announced for release of 4/20)...there just seems to me so many things they could've done differently than this.

Its a new product line, they didn't think it through, they hired fashion experts, and decided to not listen to techies. I would blame this squarely on Jony Ive-I do not believe Scott Forstall would've seen the point, and this is why the culture of Apple has the "Steve wouldn't have done that" problem: Cook's management style is to build a culture of harmony. The problem in doing this is it doesn't allow dissent: Apple couldn't figure out any sorts of problems prior to launching this, and has had problems ever since. It absolutely could have happened on Job's watch too. But-I doubt it would've happened on Forstall's watch. At the same time, I doubt we would've had (or needed) a steel DLC watch on Forstall's watch. And that's the new, post-Forstall culture of Apple: an arrogant company that makes mistakes through not having any foresight, as opposed to a company that simply can make mistakes because the wrong man won the argument. Which is better? Who knows.

I just want my watch and to stop the ramble.

Great idea! Should I pick the link that shows 4-6 weeks....but it might show up next week? Or should I pick the WSB that has the generic June shipping window that might ship the next day?

Well since you're trying to get the one that ships the fastest, probably the latter. And then you could order the link separately. I hope that answers your question. Good luck with your order!

Just curious. Why do you care if people complain? I'm not trying to argue with you. Just wondering. Is it like if someone insults your favorite band or sports team? If so, that's totally understandable.

Better yet, get the fastest shipping watch, link bracelet, and then color them in with a sharpie for the space black look.

If one of these UPS planes could carry 200,000 iPhones, do you think they could carry 150,000 watches? The box is a little bigger.
I'm going to just tell myself that there are 600,000 watches on those planes that are headed to Louisville and that one of them is mine.

It's just that we're ALL waiting. We all know what we ordered, when it was estimated to ship, and the cost. Everyone has had ample opportunity to change their mind, and for most people we're still a day BEFORE the estimated shipping window. Yet somehow crackpot theories of production issues, childish entitlement, and waahh I paid more money than people that bought the sport, pop up. It's annoying. And if people want to express their complaints on a public forum, they shouldn't be surprised when someone tells them their complaints are ridiculous on said public forum.

Trust me, I feel the same way. I've been wanting this since they announced it (maybe even before), so the wait is hard for me too. But I know what I ordered, and so I should have to wait for the time that was clearly relayed to me by Apple.

True enough except on the point about having a chance to change your mind. Changing your mind would mean getting something you wanted less and waiting even longer. Interesting question though. If an Apple rep rang my doorbell right now and asked if I'd like to take a standard SS link watch tonight, I'd be very tempted. Anyone else?

Nope I have a standard link waiting for me at home and I am going to sell it (I bought both before I had settled on space black). I am holding strong for Space Black!!

Well it seems like for most models, the wait is actually shorter even if Apple says otherwise (I mean assuming you cancelled and ordered a different watch a week or two ago, not right now). But fair enough.

But no I wouldn't switch to the regular link if it was offered to me. I want the Black.
