What I find funny is people bitching about letting a franchise just die out because it's old and worn out, yet I bet they go see every Furious movie...

And yes, I can't wait for Christmas. I saw the first Star Wars on opening day way back in the day.

Great second trailer, but I have to say the first teaser still gives me goosebumps

Looking forward to Christmas this year :D

It's a testiment to the strength of these movies, Episodes 4-6 that these visuals can produce such an emotional response in me. :)

I've not seen them beyond installment no.2, but my impression is they are very much over the top.

Star Wars was always going to be a 9 part series. These new movies are not out of the blue. They were planned by Lucas over 30 years ago.

When Disney bought the rights to Star Wars they also bought the treatments George Lucas laid out going forward.

Ah...if anyone read any of the pre-weeks leading to the final announcement of Disney buying the franchise, it MAY and is probable that they did not use any of Lucas additional material and just had him around for continuity.

I was not looking forward to a rehash from Disney so they can again make bucks (worked at Disney wayyyy back....how they have changed unfortunately...no creativeness anymore and have to just buy others work to profit...No vision anymore...

BUT....given that I am tired of all of the super-hero stuff....I HOPE to have some movie magic thrill me again like the age before technology when Star Wars came out when I was just an innocent nerd kid. The days when you got excited when you heard that "Empire Strikes Back" was coming out when trilogies were difficult to match the first movie. Empires Strikes Back...well...epic classic!

In days of uncertainly in the world, Some "fun" basic excitement of getting some popcorn and sitting in a good movie sounds like something again to look forward too.

I HOPE...

Pretty excited, plus, in one of my current ventures has me deeply engaged with Star Wars based content.

My sentiments as well. Seeing the first trailer, after never expecting to see a continuation of the movies I was obsessed with as a kid, gave me chills. I was so excited watching both trailers, my kids thought I was a bit crazy...and they're probably bigger fans of SW than most kids their age (11, 10, and 7). Seeing Chewy and Han onscreen again, even an older, grayer version, nearly brought a tear to my eye.

Like many, I can't wait for December.

I'm still upset about all of the thousands of needless contractor deaths who were working on the uncompleted Death Star when Lando blew it up. :p

"Ya know Junior, when they raid a cat house, they take the piano player too."

"Slightly used Imperial II-class Star Destroyer for sale on CraigsList. Only 145M credits.

"Make me an offer, no mind tricks." Ad is a classic.

Excited because it is Star Wars, baby!

Been ten years since the last one. And it has been 32 years since one with Harrison, Mark, and Carrie. It doesn't feel like a real Star Wars without them. The prequels felt like Dumb & Dumberer and not a real one without Jim and Jeff. I got almost misty eyed when Han and Chewie appeared on that last scene of the new trailer. I am looking forward to this and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I get excited everytime I hear, "Chewie, we're home" and "Do you bleed? YOU WILL!" everytime.

Just Avengers: Age of Ultron earlier this morning. Very cool. About as good as the first one.

I loved that the recent trailer didn't show the faces of Mark and Carrie at all. Just their arms and such and hearing Hamill's voice narrating. I want to watch Episode VII with complete surprise. They only gave us a small glimpse of the most popular actor/character from the originals in Harrison/Han. JJ did this with Super 8. I hate when the trailer shows most of the best scenes. Age of Ultron trailers are guilty of this as well by spoiling most of their best scenes. I probably will avoid watching the final trailer to Force Awakens. You watch trailers over and over, it sets expectations and anticipation that may never be met. I just hope the merchandising doesn't ruin it too. I want to see the older Luke and Leia for the first time while watching the flick.

Agreed! I frequently turn to my wife and ask her as the trailer ends, if we have just seen the highlights, best part of the movie they want us to come watch? I learned years ago to NEVER watch a "making of" show for a movie I have not yet viewed. :D

Agree. I guess the storyline will be all over before December, but I'd rather watch it fresh.
