I just never saw the point of this film, what else do we need to know about Steve that's not already out there? Reading his approved biography confirmed to me that he was a gifted individual with a strong vision and was able to drive other people to deliver on that vision. As a person, he was a complete ****.

A comment I read on-line pretty much sums up my thoughts on him "If you're going to fu** something up, fu**-up the development of the iPhone or iPad, not your children".

I have no desire to further feed the cult that has developed around this guy by seeing this movie.

Saw it Sunday afternoon with my wife. We both loved the movie! Too bad most peopl won't see it. Actually I don't think anyone was at the theater this Sun.. It was completely dead for all movies per the ticket counter.

If anything we would've wanted maybe an opening and maybe ending montage. It just seems to begin and end abruptly. It would've only added maybe 10 mins to the 2 hr movie.

Oscar winning potential for Fassbender and Kate! Seth Rogen was the only bad apple on stage.

When we saw it Friday, there was only 12 in the theatre.

Seems like only Apple fans are watching it.

As for the movie, I loved it especially Kate's performance. I'm a fan of Aaron Sorkin, the Newsroom is my favourite TV show.

Many adopted children have abandonment issues, are OCD, control freaks, and have tons of relationship issues.

I was adopted and suffered from all of the above. It didn't get married until I was 35. That my friend wasn't by choice either. It was more about creating a perfect environment for my child.

It took me 35 yrs to get over issues..I can't even imagine doing that as Steve Jobs. I think this is the first film that talks about being adopted and how those issues manifest around you as you go through life and you're daily interactions with others. All adopted children have their own reality distortion fields.

From what I understand the movie took extensive liberties in its description of Jobs. I haven't read the comments by Sorkin, but Woz claiming its accurate doesn't mean anything to me as he has brain damage and regularly says things he shouldn't and that make no sense.

I'll probably see it at some point, but I won't pay for a movie that uses "artistic license" to badmouth a great man.

Must be a lot of adopted children on here.

I saw it with my wife on Friday. She fell asleep--so that was her take on the movie. Me, I found the acting to be good, but overall I was left with a "meh" impression. Not bad, not great. And I really wanted more about Apple and what he did for the company, not just Steve and his mostly troubled relationships. kind of like in the Facebook movie we got to see the founding of the company along with the relationship issues.

They should've released this globally on the same date. When i heard it was due out mid october I looked to book tickets for opening night, only to find it was "Coming Soon" to my local cinemas. I didn't check again after that, since I booked tickets for Spectre instead.

If they'd gone global on original premier they would've had practically no competition.

Should have had the film start later in Steve's life, i.e. post-2000. And the film should have been first iPod, iPhone, iPad. Then it could also have included Steve's death in the finale. That would have been current and modern products and tear-jerker final days of Steve's life. It would have been much more relatable to overwhelming majority of the population and a better storyline. And regardless of Fassenbender's acting chops, if it had better casting with lead played by actor with more actual likeness to Steve, i.e. paying Bale any amount it would have taken for him to sign on to the project, it would have been a blockbuster. Fassenbender does not resemble Steve; The product launches are, for the most part, ancient. So neither of those are relatable to audiences: subconsciously character-wise, visually tech-wise. It doesn't compute.
