Some people like Apple products. Some others really love them. Some people were born with Apple Computers in their DNA. For those, Steve Jobs has always been a life inspiration. You might even come to believe he was a close friend to you, thought about conversations you could have had with him, if only in your imagination.
I was lucky to have my dad owning one of the first computer shops in Paris, selling the Apple II, and even though Jean-Louis Gassée made things hard for resellers, it worked and Apple IIs were selling moderately well. That was my first computer, an Apple IIe. Then one day my dad came back from a trip to California and brought back a new machine. A Macintosh built for demos only (not to mention probably the first Mac in France!). It was 1984. Few years later and some hacks on it to make it run normally (and with 512K, no less), that computer became mine. It had 2 20MB hard disks that, when running, made noise like you were starting a jet engine. I was hooked. I've been hooked ever since. It changed my life. And Apple Computers ended up shaping my entire career.
Thank you Steve for everything. You will always be an inspiration.
