RIP SJ :(

We knew his death was imminent

however, I was still terribly shocked and saddened, all the same.

"For even after our tired heart shall cease to palpitate...
To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die."

RIP, Mr. Jobs

‎16 years old, I vividly remember sitting in a rare assembly at college that paused to allow a student to speak. Shy and soft spoken, he gave a tribute to Freddie Mercury who had just passed away, before breaking down in the middle of his speech and sobbing uncontrollably.

I couldn't understand how this young kid, my age, could be so affected by the passing of someone he didn't even know, had never even met and was extremely unlikely to ever meet. Now, today, I understand.

Today, I am very sad :(

I woke up at 2am and couldn't sleep so checked macrumors to be hit with a sledge hammer blow of Steve jobs passes away!!!!

Couldn't sleep at all after that :(

I never thought id be particularly bothered by the death of someone I didn't know personally..

Feels a bit weird using my iPhone/iPad/MacBook/ and anything else now.

I think he knew he'd accomplished more in his life than many ever will.

I recommend reading the story from brain lam about the iphone4 gizmodo story, it's very humbling.

Yep, sad news indeed :( He was a very influential and respected industry shaper. Thoughts to all of his family, friends and work colleagues, he will be sadly missed. RIP.

My life changed for the better when I bought my first Mac in 1994. I wouldn’t have what I have today without Steve Jobs.

Rest in Peace Steve, and condolences to all that knew and loved him.

Thank you Steve for all the great products that come from the company that you led and founded.

I can just hope that the spirit of innovation will still remain in Apple without you...

[*] Rest In Peace [*]

The brightest light in the computer industry has been extinguished. So sad.

May God rest his soul.
