Sad reason to register and write a first post. RIP Steve. You changed many lives and were a true genius.

Rest in peace Steve, you shall be missed by millions.

Who's joining me in watching Pirates of Silicon Vally tonight then? :(

RIP Steve. If there's an afterlife you're one of the first people I'm going to buy a beer for.

Thank you for all the magic.

I truly lost one of my lifelong heroes. I'm only 26 and that cuts my list in half. My father is the only remaining... Deeply, deeply saddened.

Steve, your Apple family around the world will miss you and continue to be inspired by your legacy. Shine on…

RIP Steve
Sad news but I think the undertones of the iPhone 4S keynote said a lot.
I think all the senior execs knew that this sad news wasn't far away.

RIP Steve you will be missed so much.

Really really sad to hear this. Obviously he has been battling the illness for a long time, and he must have knew he didn't have long left after but I'm still so very shocked and very sad.

Got my first modern apple product a month ago, iPad 2 in new York' 5th avenue store. It was specially enough for me but it's even that bit more special now.

I've been pondering over a MacBook pro for a long time and finally decided I would buy it last night.

As a young business entrepreneur, I really respect and admire what he has built up from his garage. It's such a great achievement for him. Really do look up to him.

Very sad

I totally agree with this post,

I have only been a fan of steve and Apple for about 6 years so new compared to others who have been on the scene for 30+ years, but steve has made such a big contribution in my life even without knowing me but through is ideas, products and innovations. I am truly saddened by this

my prayers and thoughts are to his family and his fellow colleagus at apple. Johnny Ive was his best friend in the world can't imagine what he is going through

i am so glad my purchase of the updated macbook pro only a couple weeks ago, i thank steve for all that he has given me and for changing my life and love for technology. i will forever be apple fanboy
