Good bye

The shell is gone but the spirit remains. Very few people get to change the world on a large scale. Steve got to over and over. He thrilled. Delighted. Entertained. Enraged. Exhausted. I think he wanted to inspire every one to do something grand albeit with "the best tools possible ie Apple products". He genuinely believed in his company. Somethings worked and others failed. He was human like so many of us. But got to walk in the clouds.

Steve Jobs. Dreamed large. Worked bigger. Will be missed.

Steve

You left us far too soon, but your creations, innovations, ideas and inspirations will live on long after we are all gone.

Thank you so much for your life's work, which has in turn enriched the lives of countless millions, myself included

RIP

Firstly I too would like to send my condolences to Steve's family and close friends in this time of terrible grief, i did not know Steve personally but I think everyone feels connected to him in his imaginative way of producing the most fantastic products but making you feel like you would be buying them off your mate and not being forced to buy something by a faceless company, I am sure Tim and the other staff at Apple will see that Steve's legacy will live on in the company.

I have always aspired to try to be the best at what I am doing but not in a pompous way but to make sure that I am providing the best services and products to my customers and I believe this is mostly down to Steve. For a lot of people he has been our mentor in a way too, perhaps without even knowing it over the course of 10 years I have progressed from teen to young adult and have followed Steve and his work all this time but also have seen how he has progressed in himself with each time we saw him at a keynote getting more confident and excited at the new products he had to show off.

Really what I am trying to say is that he will be missed by many millions and myself included in a very big way. I am so, so saddened by this news that I would not believe it at first. Thanks Steve, for the laughs, the products but mostly the journey.

Not trying to spam, but I'm trying to collect photos of Apple Stores today so we can see all the impromptu memorials being created for Steve around the world. You can see them here:

and send any photos you take of Apple Stores to applestorememorials@gmail.com - thank you!

I make ZERO profit from this I am doing it out of my love for Steve and Apple, please don't block me!

I don't know if the stores around me will have any tributes laying out in front of them, or if they will still be there when I am able to check it out. But I plan on venturing out to the two local St. Louis area stores after work today. I'll have my camera handy.

Steve had a huge impact on my life. I stopped tinkering around with computers all the time and started doing something with them. Writing, photography, and on and on.

I'm confident Apple can carry on his vision.

The work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.

Words cannot express the feelings I and the entire WORLD has for you Steve.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Job well done!:apple::apple::apple:
R.I.P.

I'm still in shock

As I came home last night, I check twitter and all I saw was "RIP Steve Jobs" I didn't want to believe it but it was then all over the news on TV.

My first Apple product was a 2nd Generation iPod (the first one to work on a PC), ever since then I've been an Apple fan.

I tried going to the Apple Store in my mall today and when I entered the store, the 1st employee I saw asked if there was anything I needed help with, I said no I just wanted to walk around to pay am age and he totally understood.

Steve Jobs was a great innovator, leader, pioneer, and visionary! We will never forget him and there won't be anyone like him for a very long time! Apple is Steve Jobs and no other company has that much of an emotional connection to their customers!

#SPJ4ever!!!

RIP, Steve

Since my first Apple II, I have felt a kinship with Steve Jobs. From his greatest product, the Lisa, to the newest great thing, the iPad, we have walked through time. Steve, you rocked our world. We are all better for you and your vision. RIP.

RIP Steve

You were a visionary and built the most amazing company in the entire world. Let your work and your company legacy and last forever.

RIP

Thank you Steve, for everything you've done. You will be remembered and missed. My thoughts go out to Steve's family, and everybody around him.

Thanks for everything. :apple:

iWon’t forget the innovations you have made that have shaped this world. May your company continue to reign forever based on your foundations, and may you finally rest in peace. Steve Jobs | 1955-2011.

iPhone 4S.....
Steve, this one's for you......

AMEN- same sense. I was dithering about the iPhone 4S
Now there is no question; I am purchasing.

Feeling very blue today. I feel a loss. And I am anxious about Apple's loss of its genius leader . Who can fill in for his creativity? Tim Cook et al will maintain the attention to detail and all the business management refinements.
But who can fill in for the ideas, the vision, the ability to not get bogged down by the mundane which were all Steve's hallmarks.

Lastly, what else can we Apple- People (that is what we are ) do to pay our respects and honor Steve?

Steve Jobs has been an inspiration to us all. He's an example of an amazing business leader who's revolutionised not only the most valuable brand in the world, but also an entire industry - an industry that touches everyone in their daily lives. His contributions have been immense and appreciated by all. On the eve of buying yet another Apple product, I can only express how glad I am that 2011 was the year I joined the Apple community. The two iPads, the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini, alongside the iPhone 4S I will get next Friday, are all mine because of my immersive devotion to Apple, stemming from the original iPad's introduction, and the irreplaceable reality distortion field Steve created. Steve loved his products, and made sure his customers would too.

Rest in peace, Steve.
