the death of steve is definitely one of those moments in history where everyone remembers what they were doing when they heard steve died, same with man landing on the moon, kennedy getting shot, lennon getting shot and elvis dying and of course 9/11

5th october 2011 is one of those days in history that will never be forgotten the world over

are you real?!

Thanks Steve, for all the advances in tech which have made the world what it is!

Thanks for letting us know that sometimes, businesses go out their way to make things the best they can, and just to add more to how people use tech...

I still remember the feeling when you pulled out the 1st gen iPod nano, the iphone, and the macbook air! You didn't do it because it was easy or profitable... but because it was beautiful, and my god it was hard.

But also, thanks to you guys who've let me know im not alone, and lets see what the future brings!

Thank you for touching my life in so many ways.
You'll always be someone and look up to for inspiration.
Rest in peace, dear Steve.:(

I remember at the age of 5 playing on my very own Mac SE which my dad had passed down to me and my brother.

I then remember getting the very first iMac which was passed down to me when I was about 10. Then later an iBook G4.

On the nearing of my 15th birthday I watched Steve Jobs launch the new iMac 20" redesign and I saw iLife 08 with a fully redesigned iMovie. After months of convincing and saving I was rewarded a brand new iMac from my parents. This was the first time I ever made my own movie on my own computer. It was the first time I was able to create something beautiful with ease and be forever proud of it.

Over the last 4 years I've learnt a lot and am just beginning the next 4 in film school.

To say that Apple has helped me would be a huge understatement. Apple has inspired me to create and has allowed me to build my small ideas into a huge reality.

Over this summer I have written, directed and edited a film about a mad scientist, a creator and an inventor. In the set I built with a team of friends I've put every mac that I've owned. Less than a month ago on the nearing of my 19th birthday I bought myself a brand new 27" iMac because I saw the capabilities of Final Cut Pro X to edit on.

I thought I'd share this because I feel that without Steve Jobs and Apple's constant force to further the computer and film industry, I don't think I'd be anywhere.

Aside from my family and some friends Steve Jobs is the person who has influenced my life and lifestyle the most. He is my idol and my inspiration. Steve Jobs has made my life come to fruition and made me realise my passion and my dream.

Stay healthy, stay hungry and please forever stay foolish.

....

I've edited my site to show you this slightly neater:

A post from my blog (not much else I can say):

Like many others, Steve Jobs inspired me. About a year ago, a colleague of mine and I were in Santa Clara, CA for a developers conference. On the last day, there was a long stretch between the closing keynote and our flight out, and I insisted that we take a short detour on our way to San Jose and see Apple HQ. It was only a quick stop on a nerd pilgrimage, but a small part of me thought that we’d get a look at Jobs.

It didn’t happen, but seeing 1 Infinite Loop was an opportunity to pay homage to man and a company that has inspired me greatly over the last 15 years. From the first time I used a Mac in journalism school to the iPod reinvigorating my love for music to the time spent building an iPad app at work this week, my adult life has been unmistakably marked by Jobs’s vision at Apple.

He was an inspiration and a visionary and will be missed. God rest his soul.

Anyone having same feelings as me right now? Up till now I'm still feeling that it's unbelievable and still in shock after 14 hours.

Rest In Peace

Rest in Peace, Mr Jobs.

My firstborn's first picture was taken w/ an iPhone. With the same device, we were able to take a video of the first time she stood up on her own, her first steps, and her first words. She learned her numbers and the entire alphabet on many different apps using our iPad. She also loves her Elmo/Sesame Street channel on Youtube.

Thank you for helping spark her interest in learning. :apple:

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. In the words of Woody from Toy Story 3, "So long... partner."

R.I.P. Steve Jobs. :(

Very much feeling like it's a dream, I didn't know Mr Jobs, never met him, never expected to either. But like a lot of people, I knew him as Steve, the guy in the turtle neck who spoke softly, passionately and had audiences hanging on his every word in silence.
As a boss of a computer company you might expect his passing to be a very quiet affair, but he was so much more, a visionary, a truly inspirational figure.

I will miss you Steve, I hope to meet you some day, somewhere X

My thoughts are with his family.

Inspiration personified

A truly inspiring man who's inspiration will live on! May your spirit continue to touch people for years to come.

RIP Steve

Sad day for the entire world, one of the greatest visionaries of the world has left us. I'm truelly grateful of having seen him in his greatest moments, he really changed the world.

Thanks Steve

are you real?!

Absolutely, Steve was my Elvis, my Lennon, my JFK

I believe that with the wall to wall media coverage today on tv channels and it being the lead headline in every national paper out there today that what I said was 100% true

When I loaded up Twitter this morning the top 9 trending topics were about Steve and that was the UK trending topics, Britons mass mourning an American
