Other CEO's and company founders could only hope to be a fraction of what Steve Jobs represented in terms of innovation. We've lost a true visionary. Imagine what he could have done in the next 20 years.
"Steve Jobs was an incredible visionary, inventor and philanthropist. He has single handedly defied conventional business practices and created a technology empire that stands tall and proud with a following like no other CEO on earth. Steve stuck to his vision without compromise. He has inspired many around the world including myself and will be most dearly missed."
From everyone at Apple to the average consumer, Steve Jobs was nothing short of inspirational. No other CEO or Businessman could generate such enormous sadness with the news of his passing.
RIP Steve. Your legend will live on for generations.
This is a loss that no one could ever see coming one that no ever wanted to even imagine. We lost a true inovator a man that saw things in a different perspective than most would. He has built the apple community into what it is today. An true man of invention and insight he will be truly be missed but his innovation and knowledge will live forever in the company that we all love.
I have had experience with cancer the past two years, being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and if it is in fact true that Steve was suffering this horrid disease, I know he is in a much better place now.
I'm sorry to hear this. You're in my thoughts. My father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma last year and it's been a difficult road - made all the more difficult since I'm five thousand miles away from him. However, FaceTime has literally changed our lives. It's a very sad day, and all I can do is express how grateful I am for the technology that has allowed me to spend valuable time with my father and made it a seamless process for him. All the best.
Thanks Steve, for the wonder and magic you've introduced to the world. As one square peg who never quite fit in the round hole, you've changed things. You've made them better.
