All iOS and Mac developers should be crying now. Although we may not have worked for Jobs directly, it is because of him we have work!

RIP Steve!

Child of Steve's Digital Era

I'm am saddened by the news of Steve's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Steve's family and friends today.

I feel like I've been a fan of Steve my whole life. I was 2 years old when my dad bought the first Macintosh in 1984. I began using the mouse to draw and paint that same year. I grew up doing digital art because of that Macintosh and it's many future versions. Most of my childhood doodles are stored on floppy disks and CDs. I feel like I was born into the digital age that Steve pioneered, and I embraced it whole heartedly. By the time I went to college I could do everything digitally, from taking photos to making movies. Now I'm creating visual effects for feature films in Los Angeles. And I'm still working on a Mac!

Thank you Steve for your innovation, creativity and amazing determination. You will be missed.

You will be greatly missed! REST IN PEACE STEVE JOBS!

Thanks for sharing you vision and creating genius with us!

Forever an iFanatic

No words here...
RIP Steve
Now I know why Cook and the others were not giving their A games yesterday.

People may say his products sucked, some will say that the company as a whole sucked..

But I think everyone will agree that the man was a visionary, a genius and will be missed dearly. He was a great man, fantastic innovator and a true leader. I am not a big fan of the iPhone, but Steve was a fantastic human being.

R.I.P.

Damn it...

This is what I wrote to Apple's remembrance page:

He made my world smaller, faster, smarter, sharper, more fun, more connected, and just plain better.*

Rest now, Steve. You've done more in one brief lifetime than anyone else could accomplish with ten.

It is probably in this thread somewhere, but it really puts those petty bitchy complaints about what the iPhone presentation didn't have yesterday in perspective, right?

Mourn for a little bit, but remember how Steve saw it and apply it to yourself.

Do your best work every day. Live your life to the fullest. Never settle.

Rest in peace, Crazy One. Your company is the reason for many good things in my life.

It is 2:26 am here in Germany and somehow I woke up and went to my computer. I checked Macrumors and saw that Steve has passed away...I do not know why...

RIP Steve

You will always be with us

Holy ****. I didn't realize he had that little time left. RIP, Steve, you truly revolutionized Apple and the IT industry in general.

I thought this was some stupid ass online prank, Boy! I regret that it wasn't:(

I wonder what kind of effects this is going to take on Apple now, what a terrible terrible day.

RIP

I think a true testament to his greatness is the fact that many of us (me too) are profoundly saddened by his death, even though we don't know him at all.

I'm glad he existed.

Remembering Steve

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Jobs. Firstly my thoughts go out to his family and friends. I can't begin to comprehend the sadness they must be feeling right now.

There are very few people, in this day and age, that you can point out as being truly inspirational, admirable, passionate, visionary and brilliant. He leaves a legacy that, most likely, will not be equalled for many years to come.

The legend of the man that we, the Apple faithful, think we knew is undoubtedly diametrically opposed by how those close to him will remember him.

No matter how you personally felt about the legend, it can't take anything away from the man himself.

Above all, I will remember Steve as being honourable to the very essence of what Apple stands for. Purity of function combined with purity of design. He saved the company he helped create. He saved the world from being technologically bland and technologically boring.

Thank you for making the future in our lifetime Steve.

Rest in Peace, you deserve it.
