So long Steve. You left one of the biggest footprint any man could've had in his lifetime.

Thank you, and RIP.

What a staggering loss not only for his family and the tech world, but society as a whole. Steve Jobs was a tireless perfectionist and served as a role model to anyone who has ever dared to take a risk and devote their heart and soul into something. A very sad day indeed.

All the good ones die young :(

A very sad day for everyone at Apple and in the Apple community.

Its so sad that we will never see another Steve Keynote.

Rest in peace Steve and my condolences to your family. :apple:

I've never had such a sick in the stomach, sad feeling for someone passing away who I never knew personally.

We'll miss you Steve, thank you and may you rest in peace.

He will be missed.

I grew up using the Macintosh computer in elementary school. It was the Macintosh that I learned to type on, the Macintosh that gave me my zest of technology, and a Macintosh that I use when I come home from work.

Ever since the age of 6, I've had a great appreciation for Apple products. Over the last few years, I've had the pleasure of becoming a real Apple user - an adopter - a follower - and a believer. Things like the iPhone, iPad, iPod are revolutionary, have changed the world, and have truly enriched the lives of so many people. It breaks my heart to hear that Steve Jobs has passed. He may be gone, but we know that he has made an everlasting impression in the path of information technology and I dare say humanity in general.

He will be missed.

Very sad day

I'm old enough to remember the beginning, and sad enough to be in shock. So many of us knew Steve and Woz, or Homebrew. God bless everybody Apple-related today…we're truly blessed to be alive when we were, and experience what we did.

Thank you Steve, Woz, Apple, and every Apple fan out there!

PS-thanks MacRumors, I REALLY a place to turn

In the early 80's my dad had a store called "The Software Exchange". Microsoft sent us software in Ziploc bags with a card and a disk. Apple had a prescence that transcended the others.

We had started with an Apple II and fallen in love with personal computers.

I am still fiddling with Apples and amazed that this one man had such great sway over myself and the rest of us.

Thank You

R.I.P Steve. The world has lost the last true visionary and the one person I knew would make things happen. Sad times...

I'm glad he made it for as long as he did. He was so young, my mother's age. We will all miss him dearly, and cherish the new age he helped to usher the world into. We've lost a visionary, the likes of which may be far away. Goodbye Steve.

Steve Jobs was more than a CEO, and did more than invent the Mac, iPhone and iPod. He was a visionary, a genius and an inspiration. Steve's foresight helped forge the world we live in today. From the computer to the Internet, Steve carved the path many, many others have followed. He helped make the world a smaller, friendly, more inviting, more connected place to live. His contribution is immeasurable and only in time will history place him alongside Einstein, Newton and Edison. The world is darker without him, but Steven P. Jobs' legacy will be with us always.

:-( May Steve Jobs rest in peace. A true innovator.
