So now we know why he didn't make a cameo appearance yesterday. :(

Apple, please continue to live up to Steve Jobs' legacy. :apple:

RIP, Mr. Jobs.

Goodbye friend

One of the most iconic men in the world lost today. Never forget what he has done for us. R.I.P Mr. Jobs.

Thank you

Thank you Steve for enabling my technology habits & providing me an insanely great experience! Wish there was a "Oh, just one more thing" ending to your story too.

My heart goes out to his family. I can only imagine what he meant to them.

RIP and thanks for everything.

He changed our expectations…

Since buying my first Mac in 1988 (a Mac Plus with 4MB(!) RAM), I've not looked at the world the same.

Steve Jobs started to change the way we expected the PC to work when most people didn't even know what a PC was and since then his work has been about changing the way we expect technology to support our endeavors.

His influence on my life has been greater than anyone else outside my immediate family.

Condolences to his family & friends.

Walk good Steve…

I had always wanted to meet Steve and had the honor and privilege to greet him and shake his hand when I was a manager at the SoHo store in NYC.
An amazing man. None will ever eclipse his genius. He will be missed but will live on in the amazing products and an uncompromising vision for the company he co- founded.

Sad day..his imprint on all of our lives will live on in the technology we use everyday. What a visionary!

RIP

I am 16 years to the day older than Steve and bought my first computer at the age of 39, an Apple ][. It was his inspiration and products that have made me what I am today, and I mourn his loss. The empty reserved chair at the keynote takes on a whole new meaning.

You're right! That may be it. But wouldn't he be sitting at the front?

The guy was an innovator that only comes along once in a while. He will be sorely missed. RIP Steve. :(
