Rip Steve Jobs. You have changed my life forever. Thank you for everything you have done. You will be missed :apple:

You will be missed Steve. Thanks for all of your contributions to humanity; they were numerous.

I'm just glad that I was around for a part of it.

First hearing of this news on my iPad, a device spawned from the leadership of Mr. Jobs. There are lessons we can all learn from the innovative spirit and determination of the man. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Rip

We have lost a great man, an inspiration to many and a visionary who realised his visions. He changed the way people interact with technology and communicate with each other. There's no doubting his genius nor his impact on the world.

RIP Steve Jobs

I am so sad about the loss of Mr. Jobs. He was always an idol of mine.

I know, however, those geniuses at Apple will carry on with Mr. Jobs's fantastic legacy.

Thank you Mr. Jobs and RIP.

RIP Steve. F cancer.

I know 80% of these posts won't be read, since they're pouring in like a rainstorm. I know that one voice won't be heard, since thousands and thousands of voices are screaming and crying it out loud. And most importantly I know that whatever I say, or what any of us says, Steve will not come back. He's gone.

But I will say this... today October 5th, 2011 we're all witnessing and living together the sad fact that Steve Jobs has left the world and moved on. No matter if you hated him, loathed him, envy him, loved him, or even if you didn't know him until today, you all can't deny what Steve has done to the world.

He didn't only introduce us to amazing products, gadgets and computers, he didn't only change the way we think about desktops, laptops, computer mice, mp3 players, touch screens, mobile phones, tablets, even turtlenecks! what he did is that he made us, the apple fanboys, fans, followers (whatever you wanna call us), he made us become one family, we're all united, we stand out in society. People don't say you're a Toshiba person, or a Sony person... people say "nice, you're an Apple guy" and we feel proud to be carrying that amazing piece of bitten apple!

My dearest condolences go to his family, friends and to all of the staff at Apple. We're all sad that we lost someone very close we know from news, videos and events. They're sad they all lost someone someone EVEN CLOSER!

I don't know what else to say, Steve, you have let me become such a productive, creative and resourceful person. You have taught me and most of us that if you work hard enough for something that you love, you can change the world, and that's exactly what you did. And most importantly, you taught us to Think Different!

[EDITED to include an amazing statement by Obama]:
There may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.

Thank you :(

R.I.P. Steve Jobs, 1955 - 2011.

When a great man dies, the world becomes a lesser place. There are so precious few great men and women.

Goodbye Steve, I feel privileged to have met you just once, over twenty years ago.

Rest in Peace Steve, I will truly miss you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

God takes the amazing ones early. John Denver... my FAVORITE artist left the world too soon. Steve was a man who I admired very much. He left to soon.

RIP Steve

To his family: So sorry for your loss. It hurts. The entire Apple community feels your pain.

I was checking something on my iPad when I saw the news...

I'm still reading this as some sort of dream, as if it simply would not be possible that a day ago we were wondering if he was going to be on stage and today he is simply... gone.

Each and every person's experiences are different and thus lead us to a different being. For years, I worked with technology, from my boy's 8 years old on, I always loved it, I felt in love for it at first sight. In time, I found myself frustrated, with the way that technology was being used and where it was leading me, my profession, and certainly the rest of my professional days.

Then, a small change began to happen. First the iPod, then Macs going Intel (when I first had contact with Macs), and so on until I finally started to understand, even by a small bit, who and what that man, Steve Jobs, had brought to us, to all of us.

Today I feel like no presentation is as inspiring, no product is cooler than another, just that somehow, the whole world seems darker, as it lost one of its brightest stars.

Thank you Steve, for everything.

RIP to a true visionary in ways that aren't even being touched on in the media yet. He wanted to put creativity into the hands of the average person. To enable you to follow your heart and express yourself. Im 36 and have been loving my Apple products with just a few exceptions since I was a child.

I raise my glass of Apple cider to an insanely great man. Cheers, Steve! Thank you for your inspiration, and your incredible life. The world is a better place than when you found it.

How amazing to have done so much with one's life! To have had such vision, originality, passion, determination - success!

And how terrible to have had such a life cut short by cancer. I hope one day we'll beat that one.

Wishing comfort for Laurene and all his family and friends.
