I remember when I was a kid, around 2003-05 and I built my own PC. I was always against apple, thinking they were overpriced and not worth it. Then in 2006, I got my first Macbook Pro as a present. Since then I've been blown away by Apple and Steve's inventions, from the iPod to the iPhone and iPad - and preparing Apple for the future before he left like iCloud. The fact is, even though I never knew Steve Jobs, I feel like he was a part of me and I feel hollow without knowing he's no longer with us. I will miss his funny and exciting keynotes, his quick-to-the point answers to customers, but most of all his mind. He was a genius in my eyes, and has revolutionised and simplified computing so much within the last 10 years, and bringing Apple up to the most valuable company in the world. What a legacy to leave behind. His family must be so proud, as am I. Rest in Peace, for eternity Steve. Xx

The PC battle is never ending. RIP Steve Jobs, you are truly one of the most influential and impressive people this world has ever seen.

I admire him for what he has done for Apple and for the tech world.
Admit it, whether you loathe or hate Apple with a passion, he has done a lot for the tech world.

Sad to see him die of cancer and not of old age.
I personally have people with cancer in my family, so I know how it feels from a family viewpoint to see a person suffer of cancer. It isn't pretty.

RIP Steve.

I'll raise this drink to you.

I hate Cancer it took away my wife at 45 years of age and now Steve Jobs at a very young 56. RIP Steve, I know the Battle you raged was Hard, rest now you earned it.

Thank you Steve for teaching me it's better to create… than to consume… and better to enrich than distract. You will be missed. 

For a man who turned a company around and brought pleasure to so many, a man who truly saw what technology could be, a man who wanted more than anything to share his dreams with us, we lament.

A sad day for those who have ever believed in the impossible...Steve Jobs has moved on to higher realms after a well-known fight against his health issues.

As a longtime Apple fan (since 1989 at least), I can only wish him the repose of the victors...stay hungry, stay foolish Steve! Thank you and may the good Christian God bless you and your loved ones!

RIP the master. :apple:

Never forgotten, Always appreciated

My life has been impacted by Steve Job's mind more then I can put into words. I am sure most people in this forum share similar feelings. You will be truly missed Steve.

I have to tell someone...

I am slightly unnerved to find that my decision today to buy an iMac on the Apple store co-incided with the announcement of Steve's death.

I had been thinking of buying a new Mac for some time, as my now defunct iMac G4 had been out of action for more than 6 months and had sat in a corner of the room, like a unused door stop.

I don't know why I decided to buy today.

I was, like millions, stunned to hear of Steve's death, although looking as gaunt as he has for a while, I wondered how ill he was.

I can't tell you how wonderful my life has been with Apple in it and how the hoards of non-Apple people have lived to eat their "Apple is dead" words before Steve came back.

Steve wonderfully and with ever escalating head-shaking disbelief, brought ever better products and improvements to our lives.

Like with George Lucas, I am privileged to have lived at the same time as Steve Jobs.

stay hungry and foolish steve!

RIP and I'm thinking of your family and friends :)

This is truly sad news, he changed the lives on millions with his vision and dreams.

Not many people can say that!
