Like the whole world I am devastated to hear that Steve Jobs has passed away. I send my unconditional Love to his wife, his family and to all who believed in his great qualities.

Thank you Steve for being you, thank you for all the wonderful gadgets that only you and your great team were able to provide us with and set standards that others were only able to wonder at.

You being a Buddhist have a great understanding of life and people, you came here to achieve and you did while choosing to endure the frailties of the human body.

May the ocean of goodness from our practice return to the world to fulfill their purpose.
May the world rest in peace and the wheel of the Buddhist Law revolve.
May each being that is born rest in wisdom and never fall back.
May this wisdom be as fierce and courageous as a Buddha's.
May we attain the fruit of great awakening....

God Bless you Steve - We will all miss you, in the knowledge that we do not die - we just Ascend - you have left a great legacy that will live on.

So it appears that even Steve Jobs couldn't deal with the disappointment of the iPhone 4S reveal.

He was a great man, and a greater business man, and an even greater marketing man. That so many people have reacted to emotionally to his death is a sign of how well he was able to woo people through his charisma and marketing sense, together with his design genius.

I'm somewhat concerned with the almost messianic comments from some people in this topic, but it's likely due to how Jobs has just died. I only hope he has found rest peacefully; pancreatic cancer can be extremely painful and debilitating.
