To Steve

I wrote a letter from the apple website to give our condolences to Steven Paul Jobs. I am truely sadden and the most depressing day of my life. But it was inevitable this day would come sooner or later.

You will be greatly missed Steve. :apple: You've changed the world for the better, there's people out there that have such hatred torwards him and it makes me sick. Maybe we should have a reset if this keeps continuing with grudges torwards visionary and creative geniuses out there.

PS: wow there's a iRip ad banner below this article. How insulting.

I'm not a cussing person but damn...I feel lost for words. I feel sadness but happiness that we were all privileged to spend part of our life with him.

From the products he provided us to the way he lived his life...

Ever since I have known of him, I have been intrigued by his thoughts, actions, marketing...Some of the things he has accomplished are amazing.

Thank god we have him captured in text and video so we can visit with him to get inspiration whenever we please.

Thoughts and prayers with you and the family.

You have have had a profound impact on so many people. Your ideas were truly visionary and have changed forever how people connect.

God bless and RIP.

A life impacted.

Just tonight I spoke to my brother on the phone. We had a good old reminisce about our earliest memories of Apple ownership. Given tonight's news it was a very fitting conversation. We dredged up the names of Apple retailers from the nineties, storage formats that have gone the way of the Dodo, laughed about Just Grandma & Me on the IIvx, our first ethernet network on which we played Shadow Warrior and Duke Nukem, the original iMac, Pirates on the Mac Plus and the Apple Desktop Bus. I still own a slew of Macs and use them every day for work and play. I go to sleep in a room with 1 iMac, the MacBook on which I type, a charging iPhone and an iPad.

Sleep Well Stevo. Say hello to Einstein and don't let Newton pinch your Apples.

56 is pretty young. Jobs got to live a dream though. Amazing Job, great success story, a blueprint for people to follow etc...

Sucks it was shorter than normal. He had a great life though. People need to recall there are plenty who die that have it far worse and never remotely enjoyed what he had in his life. Dude seriously lived a dream, so look at the positive. :apple:

Steve Jobs

My house is in tears. Thank you for making my computer experience which was a nightmare pre-Apple into pure joy. You wanted to make the experience fun- and boy did you. If we could only call Heaven. Maybe soon we will.

Moment of silence

To think about the impact this man had on the world is insane. Thank you for sharing Steve. All Mac products are about to have a minute of silence...

Steve Jobs was and will remain one of my heroes. I really wish I could have had the honor of meeting him. Rest in peace Steve Jobs. Thank you for your innovation, courage, and genius. You have demonstrated what perseverance can achieve.

I was in class tonight when someone raised his hand and said, "I know this is off topic but, Steve Jobs just died." Everyone was shocked.

I had an chance to buy 100 shares of Apple Computer at its Initial Public Offering at $14. I almost had enough money to do so. The problem was that I was going to College at night and was very short on cash. Even with the GI Bill paying for much of my tuition and a Full Time Job (42½ hour week) cash was very short. Granted money went to buy an Apple II+ Computer, but much its use went to support my studies. Later, just before it had its first split in 1987, I was finally able to buy 4 shares for $387. A couple of years ago I finally sold my 4 shares, which by then had by its several splits become 32 shares, they were worth around $6,000.

Here's to you Steve:
