I really don't know what to say.

I never feel affected by the death of famous people - and it's not because I don't care, it's because they're so far removed from everyday, common life it's like they're merely products in and of themselves. Not so right now; Steve has had a profound impact on the way I use the internet, the way I connect with friends, the way I work, design, create, write, research, and entertain myself.

The world will be less for having lost his influence and passion, far too soon.

I still take religion as a subject, this year its is the mystery of suffering and death. We had a very nice talk today but at the time i thought nothing of it. Now i realize how much it affects me, and others. Steve thank you for everything too many things to count, because of you my life will be forever changed.

This is certainly unexpected (yet maybe a bit expected) news. Nonetheless I sent out a belated (cause I purchased my MBP a month ago) dedication and dedicate my MBP purchase in honour of Steve Jobs. Thank you for your innovation. May the company you founded continue on in your vision for years to come.

Can't say it much better than our President: "Brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it."

That about sums it up... thanks for all you did Steve. :apple:

I've read the headline on every major news channel in the world including the English Yonhap translate page...and I just don't believe it.

For the friend that I never met.

I am feel saddened by the news but ecstatic for a a life well lived. Thank you for the ride!

Oh man-this is a big shock-I just like to say there will never be another visionary like steve jobs-they broke the mold with him- rip steve,
& my condolences to the family at this sad time..

Steve,

I learned about Apple later than I should have, but when I did, I found it right there at the intersection of liberal arts and technology. Through Apple, I learned about you. Through your many appearances and speeches, and in using your company's hardware, I learned to learn more about me.

Thank you, good sir. May you rest in peace.

-Martin

It's necessary

I have never posted anything in Macrumors, but this is overwhelming, :( . I feel like i had lost a friend and a mentor.
We will live honoring his memory.
Thanks to the Crazy One

It hurts to know the last thing he knew about Apple was all of us whining here about how Apple is in trouble and losing their touch. What a ****** way to go after dedicating his whole life to the company.

And yeah, the magic was not there at yesterday's keynote, because no one's heart was in it. I imagine it was gut-wrenching for them, I'm sure they knew it was coming.

This is so sad...RIP Steven Jobs. It's hard to control emotions right now. The world lost an amazing man and visionary. Be without pain and now really let your mind perform without limits. Good bless steve and his family.

Sad day

Who would have though that I would be actually saddened by the death of a man I never met who ran a computer company? But you see, with Apple it is different. He credited a "bicycle for the mind" and lately the products are more like racing bikes for our minds and my life at home and work is directly better because of his. Thank you Steve, RIP.

Every new Apple product introduction from now on will make me sad because Steve won't see it :(
