Steve, being so into Buddhism and believing that life is intelligent, would probably appreciate the ironic beauty of the message that his life teaches us.
He's always been fascinated and driven by the fact that, someday he would die. That seems to have shaped his decisions in life the most.
Because of that thought, he's always done exactly what he loves, and nothing else. And look where his heart has led him.
And yes; he did end up dying young. But the capacity of life isn't measured in volume; it is measured in density. And if you dropped a spoon full of Steve on the ground, it would sink to the center of the Earth.
That is such a bleak, yet beautiful irony, and it's one that will stick with me forever.
Life IS intelligent. It rewards you for having the courage to follow your heart. In the name of Steve, don't ever forget that.
