Dear Steve

Today I will not be sad for you, I will commemorate your life with many others and make sure your legacy passes on; the world needs to remember the sole person that truly changed technology beyond recognition and also a visionary that created the biggest and most important invention ever which is Apple itself. I feel honored sir to have worked at an apple reseller all these years and be a part of the staff or family as I aptly call and the joy it gives me to live by your work and vision.

I'll miss your keynotes, your charisma and hope your ideals and vision live on at Apple. I’ll never forget the values I have learned from you and the company.

Alas, I hope you find eternal peace. I leave you with one last quote:

"Death is not to be feared so much by one who has lived wisely." Buddha.

With innovation & inspiration ever present, you changed the world and in the process changed us all as well. Even though you should be resting, I know that they will have iPads in heaven.

Luck for you the companies didn't die. Steve created them to continue on well past himself even back in the days before he had cancer and the risk was being hit by a bus or such. He picked/help pick the people that were in the upper offices and taught them his way of thinking and doing. So even when he wasn't there, they would still go on.

And THAT, not some phone or computer or anything else, was his greatest vision and achievement.

Even the form he had only has a 1 year expectancy. So the sad truth is that this should have happened a while ago.

So perhaps what we should be saying is Thank you. For being such an ornery ass who refused to play by anyone else's rules and giving us a few more years.

Although I never even saw Mr. Jobs in the flesh, I still felt quite gutted upon hearing the sad news.

I confess that I teared up when I read some of the kind words that other industry leaders had to say about him. Imagine just how his family and his friends must be feeling.
