I never thought I would see this post on Macrumors so soon. Didn't know the man, so I'm not sure why I feel so sad for this loss. The death of an inspiration, I guess.

The image on apple's homepage is named "t_hero" :)
I'm at a loss for words right now. Truly he was such a great person and I hope he went in peace. Jobs was a perfectionist and I can only hope that Apple will continue on his path. I don't think we will see another like him in our lifetime. I'm so glad I was able to enjoy the great new tech era he created. One thing is for sure... He knew how much apple fanatics loved him!

Thank you Steve.

It still doesn't feel real to me. It's hard to wrap my head around the thought that he's really gone. It doesn't feel right to see his picture on the news and see 1955-2011 underneath.

If any of you have ever gone through the final-days process of losing someone to cancer, you know it's a natural process that is well documented. Hospices have printed pamphlets that describe the death process down to the hour over a course of days. I can't imagine that Tim Cook and everyone else that presented during the iPhone 4S launch didn't know Steve was about to lose his brave battle with cancer. If you review the presentation, you can see it in their eyes...their voices...their demeanor... it's downbeat and sorrowful.

death is but the next great adventure, he was a visionary and the world has lost a great leader and a great man.sad news indeed for those of us left behind.

iThankyou for everything, Mr. Jobs. You've truly inspired me and countless others with more than just Apple and technology, but also taught me what it means to live a meaningful life. :apple:

Your inventions and they way you put them all together touched so many of us on an emotional level. We are grateful and sad to see you gone.

I just came back from a funeral - go on macrumors to see what's new to find this. I am completely devasted. Such a great loss to his family, friends, people that dealt with him. I hope that Apple can continue on and thrive.

RIP Steve Jobs - You were a truly great man. Thank you for changing the lives of many of us.

It still doesn't feel real for me. I've cried many times now, looked at every picture, watched every video- I've done it all. Every time I see the apple.com page, it really hits me. To see those fateful numbers by his name just don't seem right.

Just to set the record straight.

Steve died peacefuly this afternoon while in bed suffering from cancer with his family surrounding him.

Just to set the record straight, half that comment is conjecture. The family said he passed away today and peacefully with his family there. That's it. They didn't say afternoon. They didn't say it had anything to do with his cancer.

For all we know he died of pneumonia or perhaps kidney failure. Or maybe he did have a heart attack. and it was at 1.30 this morning

Or maybe he went to take a nap and just simply didn't wake up.

We haven't been told and it's none of our business. Just take what was said and leave it at that. Don't try to fill in the blanks.

R.I.P Steve Jobs

More than a business man, innovator or inventer he was man who always wanted to create something really special. Its his greatness that he shared those special things with the whole world.

Steve Jobs, The Kid, he always was.

Thanks a Lot!

Goodbye, Steve

Hi there.

I registered here just to express my condolences for Steve :(

It's so ironic for me that only yesterday I posted every bad things of iPhone4S(Apple) and today I post everything about Steve Jobs.

Well, I'm not an Apple Gadgets fan at all, it's way far from my (pocket)reach. But surely I really really adore Steve as one of the greatest man in the world. He is the one think and act differently from anybody else that then changes the world forever.

I don't(not really) like Apple, but Steve Jobs is so special.

Goodbye, Steve :'(

Steve Jobs is Immortal!

Thank You Steve for all the wonderful things, you will always be alive in our hearts.
