More than Apple's products, more than Apple the company...I think Steve's greatest contribution to humanity is Steve himself.

Thank you Steve for inspiring all of us to dream.

Let's just hope his health is OK. His legacy in cemented for sure. He is a legend and he created what might be the greatest brand of our time.

Cook is no hack. I think Apple continues to be a huge success.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

Steve is to Apple is what Walt is to Disney.

The magic can and will live on!

What we should all be doing is e-mailing Steve Jobs himself...not posting here and have trolls replying :(

I'm sure it'll make Steve accomplished by reading all of your personal stories about how the Mac and the brand itself has impacted each and every single one of you.

Sickening to see on Android blogs the comments that people are happy he is dying and how this will make Apple more original....

From here on, it can only go downwards. Nobody at Apple has his vision, drive and taste or the ability to sell this vision.

The staff at Apple can only try to institutionalize what Steve has created, but they won't be able to build on it themselves.

We will still see nice designs in the future, but they won't have much soul.

The beautiful, fascinating and exciting part of the journey is over. Just like IBM and Microsoft, Apple will fall back to insignificance now. Apple has become too big and too rich to simply disappear, but it soon will also be too institutionalized to create, innovate and move ahead.

In the long line of non-sense you've been posting here this is not exception. Apple is a huge wheel and it's been spinning without Steve's help for quite some time now.

Steve alone would not be able to do this without many talented people working at Apple then and now.

I think it's great that we're honoring Apple's products and Steve's innovations,

but i think his greatest contribution to humanity is the fact that he inspired and influenced countless of entrepreneurs and innovators to dream, take risks and try to reach for the moon.

Steve no longer listed as CEO.

Thank you so much for the link... Of course, to be complete, there should be footage of Jobs at the end of the video.

I was a PC, now I'm a Mac. Thank you, Steve. May the rest of your days be with your family. Please know that you are loved and admired by many, and the rest can go to hell. You have changed the face of civilization with your inventions. Thank you so much.

You will be missed, if this is your time. I'll be sending strong Reiki to you in the meantime. xox

You inspired me to fix the commercial. I edited it and it is enhanced in wide screen and HD now. Share the link!

1) No better time to go when your company, that you resurrected, is the highest earning, most respected company in the world.

2) Health before profit. Always.

Mossberg has some exclusive

People with direct knowledge of the matter say he intends to remain involved in developing major future products and strategy and intends to be an active chairman of the board, even while new CEO Tim Cook runs the company day-to-day. This is not an obituary. But his health is reported to be up and down, and even an active chairman isn't the same as a CEO.

Best of luck in recovery and may your retirement days be long and joyful.

It's good to do something other than Apple before the doorbell rings. :(

what, Noooooooooooooooooooo! Holy schmackers, I've been out of the country with no internet access and come back to find out Google buys Motorola, WebOS is dead, and that Steve Jobs is no longer CEO.

Curious that there is an iOS software head, but no Mac OS X software head!! And, isn't Ron Johnson quitting and going to be JC Penney's CEO or something like that.

Bertrand Serlet is replaced by Craig Federighi, who should eventually be OS X head.

I am also wondering just what a Chairman of the board is.
