time to sell off all the apple products ....

while they're still worth something.

Go back to your little Microsoft, Android laden hole in the wall, your thoughts are low, I be you wished the same thing on your mother. Have a good day you Jeffery Dahmer wannabe...

Get well soon, Steve.

A question to all:
Does this mean, we are going to get an iPhone 3Gs like product this year?

I don't mean to be acting bad as I know steve ain't well but apart from that without any selfish interest, I just want to know if steve is going to let Tim Cook do the honours.

I don't think that any plans would change with Apple's upcoming products due to Steve being on medical leave.

I think that if we see a big new product (or a major refresh) then the health concerns are very serious and Jobs either isnt coming back or is coming back but not for long. Apple would want to show shareholders that Cook can release new, big, "revolutionary" products without Jobs and calm them down a bit.

On the other hand, if we dont see any big new products (so basically the iPhone 3GS) then it might be a good sign because then it might mean that Jobs is planning on coming back and is fine.

I hope it isn't a rejection of the transplant he had, he didn't seem to be putting weight back on as once discussed when he first revealed he had had the op.
:(

Steve turned Apple around and made them who they are today. He is a visionary who, when left to do what he sees can do great things. He is by far one of the most innovate men on the planet. But the last time he took leave Mr. Cook showed that he could handle it was well. Would he do as well long term? We don't know. But Steve, buddy, old friend, maybe it's time to spend some of your money and just enjoy your family. As much as I would hate to see him step down; maybe, just maybe it's time.

Get Well Steve! we hope you will be back on your feet soon. Family and health first, i'm sure the company will be fine for a long time to come.

Wouldn't that be nice? But at the same time, I don't see many posting on these boards about 13 murders in 12 days in Prince George's county.

That is to say, stock is a big reason people like me follow rumors sites. Stock is a big reason Jobs announced his leave now (with Verizon sales to support the stock price).

He's a life, but he's also a CEO. I think it's fair game to talk about both.

I think most of us are Apple fans and Steve Jobs admires and understands the real life threats with health so I just wished we could be more human and not care about money.

Get well Steve. You are an inspiration to us all.

Apple is not reactionary. In fact Apple's product cycle is probably set 3-5 years before we see them. I doubt Apple will change any announcement plans.

Maybe an explanation of his absence from the Verizon iPhone announcement?

That is what I was thinking. I think that is shy they did not have a special Apple run show was because their QB was not presentable in public.

No Steve Jobs at a Verizon event = not many questions

No Steve Jobs at an Apple event = questions, and lots of them.

Im not saying change announcement plans but im saying for example to delay Steve Jobs projects until he comes back. Like maybe he was working on a certain feature himself for the new iPhone and now we won't see it in the iPhone 5 but hopefully will in the iPhone 6.

This doesn't sound good in the slightest.

Sure he can be a bit of a prick with criticism and his Vader style grip on censorship and control makes that Orwellian Apple advert look more like an ironic premonition than a view of the competition. But I gotta say that quote (that I've forgotten over the years) about putting a dent in the universe... that really inspired me through college, university and with the setting up of my own company.

It was a Verizon event because Apple didn't have anything new to show. I don't live in the US and I already have an iPhone 4. Why should I care about the iPhone 4 coming to Verizon? Let's not read too much into stuff. Steve's health is not the answer to any and all questions about Apple.

But at least, we could get a 2 button mouse finally

Apple already makes them but you might not know how they work.

Jobs is a rare visionary in the tech world and has given every last ounce of himself to Apple over the years. He surely has worn himself down with that type of dedication. No one can push themselves like that without consequences. I hope he takes the time to rejuvenate himself and comes back with even more revolutionary products.
