It looks like a dumb TeeVee show, and Woz isn't nearly the household name that Steve Jobs is.

You'd think with the forthcoming depression that ABC would be able to find more high-profile people to dance around all silly.

Apparantly you dont understand the title Dancing with the D list:rolleyes:

Edit::eek: What do you mean they changed the title!?

;)

The good news is, a lot of people will get confused watching this and think Steve's health problems are resolved since "he's out there dancing!"

You wait and see...

So as I understand it, this show takes one person you've never heard of and pairs them with a celebrity...

So, who is the celebrity they're pairing with Woz? :D:D:D:D

Wow. Times really are bad. Woz needs to go on Dancing with the Stars to try and earn some money. Sad :)

Yeah, it has lost almost 60% of its stock value. Even though it is starting to go up again, it is still pretty low. If it for some reason went below $70 a share, Apple would be in trouble.

Stock value doesn't relate to the performance of a company, it's a measure of how well the stock market thinks it can resell shares in that company, which is (especially in Apple's case) loosely related to performance, more to whims and rumours.
It only affects the company if the company needs to raise capital by selling shares. Then a low price would affect them. As apple has $25bn sitting in the bank they're unlikely to be running a share issue any time soon. While a share price of $70 would be bad for shareholders, Apple as an entity would be fine.

sometimes i wonder if woz is all there after that airplane accident. he always seems a little spaced out when i see him interviewed; more specifically he seems to not be able to stay on the topic of a conversation.

but i dont know him - maybe he was always like that.

i fear that he is there for other people to laugh at, as someone mentioned upthread.

He doesn't seem like he would be very good at dancing. Maybe he will surprise us all, or maybe it's just a lark and he doesn't intend to win.

Hes always been like that.

And yes hes there for a laugh, and being Woz, he knows it and enjoys to bring joy to others.

Seriously, read his book, you'll see he doesn't give a damn about his public image.

I just saw the commercial for this tonight. My roommate and I were flipping through channels, landed on ABC, and saw Steve Wozniak pop up on the screen. I was like, "What is the Woz doing up there?!"

This is going to be an interesting thing to watch!

Ditto - I may have to go buy a TV just so I can watch him dance. This is going to be great. And for all you losers bagging on him... He is having FUN. He doesn't need the $$, or any added fame.
