STM Skinny for iPad 2

Quite happy. I think this thread is quiet since there really isn't anything to complain about.
No problems. Still love it. It has, on rare occasion, put the ipad to sleep but not a problem. I fear this will be a problem with any case that can be folded back. The way the skinny folds back, it has to be forced all the way back and pressed down just right to trigger the sleep switch. It's probably unavoidable. and I'm sure this is the reason the apple smart cover doesn't neatly cling to the back.

Your local Microcenters should be stocking these now. Looks like they are carrying black and sage. I just bought a black one online for in store pickup later on today.
I believe they have limited stock...showed no stock last night, but then 5 of each this morning (ie, 5 black and 5 sage).
Interestingly, it doesn't show up on a search of the Microcenter site for "STM Skinny." The way I found it was googling "STM Skinny" and then clicking on the "shopping" tab on the left side of the screen and then clicking on the picture of each color to see where it is available online and locally.

Same here. I love mine. I've put it to sleep accidentally a few times, but I've since learned which positions it should not be in. I just can't try to force it flat against the back when it's folded back. Not a problem really.
No need to fear. The SwitchEasy Canvas does not put the iPad 2 asleep when folded back.

At a minimum it doubles the thickness of the iPad and combine that with crappy Switcheasy customer service equals a big total no thank you.
I've had my Skinny case for about a week now and have no complaints. It is very slim, offers enough protection, very stable when folded for the typing position, and its case material offers some good traction when holding it.
My friends all like my case more than theirs. I haven't experienced the auto sleep issue when folding the cover all the way back, but then again I rarely do fold the cover like that.

Just got 2 in the UK ordered from cancom (http://www.cancomuk.com/Brand/STM/Product/71804?___STM-Skinny-Case-for-iPad-2-Black-DP-2189-01) placed my order yesterday and got them this morning even though it said stock due in 2-3, looks a really nice case best one i have seen so far

Anyone have problems with the edges fraying? Mine started doing it, so I'm thinking about sending it back and just waiting for an update on the leather version.
Fraying ? Yes. Problem with fraying? No. Send back for fraying? You must be joking. It's a cloth case. It's not going in the Smithsonian is it?
Yes I know it's a cloth case, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon. And it may not bother you, but it bothers me, so it's going back. Simple as that.

Have some fraying. Took a pair of scissors to it, trimmed it, good as new.
Still love the case.
My love for this case has waned a bit after a few weeks of use. It really bugs me when you put the flap into the back loop for a stand or to lay down and type. The problem is there is nothing to secure the flap into place and it slips out from time to time which is rather annoying. Also I have noticed that the big plastic circular parts that hold the iPad in place are not snug to the screen which allows them to move up and down a little....Now this does not cause a problem with keeping the iPad secure inside the case but just a little annoying. Also I have started to get a little fraying which I understand is not unusual for a cloth material but if it is doing this after just a few weeks I hate to see what it will look like in a year. Also the cover is nearly impossible to clean. I am not sure where they came from but there are a few dirty areas on my cover and I have tried to clean it but it just does not seem to come clean. Overall I like this case but I am not sure I would buy it again unless it came in a leather or poly material.
Shipping to Canada - still haven't received case
Did anyone else order the case from RadTech and got it shipped to Canada? Have you received yours yet?
I ordered mine on Apr 3rd and got shipping notice on Apr 4th. It's now Apr 27th and I still haven't received it! I'm going out of town on the 29th and I was really hoping to take my iPad with me in this case. But now it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Any other Canadians waiting for their case?

I live in Montreal and ordered around the same time as you. Received it yesterday and am very happy with it
STM is taking a while to get my order out. I put the order out on 4/22. Estimated Ship date was 4/26. Status today 4/28 is still on order. Do they have a backlog?

What color did you get? Wonder if that has an impact, especially for the new Berry color.
Black, it's more incognito. But you can't be too incognito when you whip out a tablet. It reminds of having an iPod back in the day.
I was coming on here to say that the thread both white and black are showing in a few parts. That's my only complaint.
LOL...the semi circle corner holder is a little goofy the more I look at it, but still like the case.
If you open the timg I attached, and use the magnify function, it looks like the tab has a recess as does the corners of the cover. Magnet maybe??
The cover looks like it's hinged for making the wedge for the stand function, but no folding completely over.
Not a bad one though
