Now some real content (rare in this thread)

1. ATN = Apple Tablet Nano (new form factor device).

2. Chudles is pissed I rained on his parade on one post. Get over it.

3. There was no Apple ad during the superbowl.

4. The Audi ad had a PC portable seemingly similar to an iBook/MacBook but wiith a front treatment with a swirl on it, probably so it was not exactly like any shipping device.

HP is trying to take the high ground.

You know why its called cricket right. cricket cricket, "did you hear something, no just some crickets."

Right before you get hit in the head by a cricket ball hit for six by our Gillie?

Cricket Rules! Three Cheers for Cricket!
(I can't believe the Poms beat us! Here I was thinking Australia wouldn't lose a game all year! Ah well. I suppose they wouldn't play us next year if we didn't let them win at least one game...)

Ah well I'd best go watch "My Wife and Kids" then "Judge Judy" followed by "Malcom in the Middle". Ah, American TV. Why does the extent of popular Australian TV consist of nothing but "Home and Away" and "McLeod's Daughters"? Why can't we make something good like Stargate?

BTW, IMHO, "Iron Chef America" was a bad move. That's just corny.

The big breaks are only in the Super Bowl, which I detest. And once Australia invents a sport I'll be sure to bash it for you. :D

How about Australian Rules?

Bash away. I don't care for it, but then again a hundred thousand Melbournians will find you and bash YOU if you do...

You know, a few hundred guys running around randomly on a cricket pitch with eight goal posts? Never seen it? Well it doesn't matter. It's a game you could get hooked on, but honestly I couldn't be bothered. And people complain that Rugby Union has too much ball kicking in it...

I agree, Soccer sucks. I mean any game that can go for over an hour without any points on the board has got to suck, especially one that doesn't use any "third umpire" kind of backup system. Spirit of the game my arse!

And yes, STARGATE RULES!

I'm waiting for Manning to say "Oh, and one more thing..." and points to a tv showing an Apple ad with Jobs saying "congrats, Colts!" and it zooms out with Jobs talking to him using the new iSight cam :apple:

What about the Revlon commercial when it said at the end "Not Fade Away" bu Sheryl Crow. Available on iTunes. That was the only apple refrence in the superbowl. All the commercials sucked in my opinion.

I must add... this was a very boring superbowl...

Oh, come on, we know you loved it. Guys in tights running around a field. What more could you ask for ;)

Seriously, all football games are a bunch of guys chasing after a ball. I wouldn't expect one to be much more exciting than another.

Same ball, different guys. Maybe some look better in tights than others. But, I wouldn't know. See my previous post about Junior High football

I have no idea what you just said.

I liked the Crocodile Hunter though, shame what happened. I also liked the film Rescuers: Down Under. Oh, and Crocodile Dundee too, but not the sequels.

It would have been nice to see something. I hate football, but was at least on CBS.com to view the ads,

DAMN IT!!!!!! I wanted an ad....

Hey, you got several. Just not the one you were looking for. I liked the one with the men doing the car wash and the women wanting them to get it over with. Old guy in shorts scrubbing their car, kinda funny.

I guess it's not the same as bikini girls doing a car wash. Guess no one wants to see guys doing the same thing ;)

im ready depression...im ready depression

ahahah whatever

apple event only 16 days away!

Let's hope they don't take that as an opportunity to revolutionize the world with the Apple CB Radio with a touch sensitive Mic key instead of a button.

Of course, if they do, the presentation should only go on for about 6 hours.

Honestly, that iPhone show was just painful. It just dragged on and on and on and on and on and on......

too bad there is no news, but news during that sort of event is tiring. so too when u2 decides to show up during such an event... good thing apple saved its money

Maybe they just needed more time because the announcement will be revolutionary!!! (I can dream :p )

Yea, just like the phone revolutionized the world. Now, the iPhone may be cool. But, it's a phone. It's $600, and it just does the same stuff with a different interface.

Hardly anything that is going to make a difference in my life. Oh, and they tied it to the only service provider that doesn't offer service in my state. Smart move Apple.

Well, we can dream. But, after 2 hours of sitting there waiting for him to move on from talking about a phone, I'm not holding my breath.

1. Chuddles is pissed (much like a number of people) because you're trying to really make this ATN thing catch-on, despite no one else really caring.

2. It was an Acura commercial

I know what you're talking about with the semi-live thing and I think know what part of the song you're talking (where he didn't make it back) but the volume of his voice wasn't as loud as it was when he got to the mic (you could hear it get louder).

Perhaps... I'll have to reserve my judgment for now, though, as I didn't record the game (much less the halftime show!).
