I love the game but had to stop a little way in because of all the going around and around nearly made me puke :(

Maybe it's your 40,000" inch DLPlasmaCD screen with surround pixel and HD buttons that's exaggerating the motion as it interpolates and filters all images in screen time.

I probably don't play the game enough to get sick. I usually go for about an hour every other day. I've played the game once this week.

I gotta commend Nintendo's service on my broken Wii disc drive BTW. They received it end of the day Monday and I got it back Wednesday afternoon.

This is why I don't spend more than 45mins. playing the game....I always have to give it a rest or end up with an extreme head pain and I play it on a 32inch.

This was the one thing I feared going into this titles because it doesn't take much for me to get a head pain...FPS are the same for me...1 hour in one sitting is all I can take.

Bless

I'm at about 80-odd stars now. It's getting very tough now. I mean I relish a challenge, but this is sadistic!

I didn't notice the yellow dots. I just threw bombs. I got it done in no time.

Now the manta ray and monkey ball levels. Ugh. I avoid em.

The trash bombing took a few tries for me...until I realized what the yellow dots were for and discovered the same pattern that Jimmi did. It wasn't too difficult. The ball rolling levels are easy if you have the patience to take things very slow. I would probably be screwed if there's a ball rolling level, coming up, with a speed comet. Manta Ray racing is also kind of easy once you get used to the controls. They're actually quite responsive.

All of these just boil down to skill and patience. I think a lot of people just try rushing through levels and handle the controls way too roughly.

Wait, yellow dots on the trash bombing? What yellow dots? I just threw the bombs into areas they looked like they would do the most damage and spread them out well.

I threw bombs to trigger groups of explosions. That worked well. Can have four go off when one does. Much quicker.

I'm 86 stars in after 3 days of play. Only a couple levels I had to go back a couple times or more to beat. So far anyways. The timed purple stars ones are a bit trickier...but not too bad. I'm actually more annoyed with the ones where you have all the time in the world but are hunting all over the dang place for one freaking star :)

The more I play the more impressed I am...BUT, the more the music is all over the place. Sometimes so perfect. Sometimes so out of place and wrong.

At 103 stars I find this game is not as hard as Mario 64 or Sunshine.

Challenging and difficult yes; Galaxy ratchets up the difficulty-- these last stars will be a pain, but with Sunshine it was all over the place and I never knew when some crazy-hard frustrating star would arrive. I couldn't even finish Sunshine and lost all desire to do so.

Galaxy, on the other hand, is rewarding me enough to fuel desire for perfection, purple coins and all.

I always found Mario 64 a little too easy myself. I complete the 64 DS version in the space of 5 days without breaking a sweat. I didn't feel compelled to 100% Sunshine, once I got the sunglasses that was it

i just picked up smg today and i am in awe. I never much liked sm64, but this is something else, its just do nice...especially using component cables! another stunner from the big N

DS version was easier than the original I found.

agreed, I'd go so far as to say it was like 1.5-2x as easy. I noticed they made you bigger/smaller (depending on the area) than you were in the N64 game, to make it easier to control with the stylus. But those of us veterans knew the game already and it just made it a breeze.

I've got 103 stars so far in SMG, just beat all three "trial" galaxies. I haven't gotten any purple comets to show up yet... how do you trigger them?

I'm waiting to get 120 stars before I face Bowser for the last time. :D

you can't do that since bowser would represent the 120th star. further, he actually doesn't represent the 120th star, because you can't get the purple comets until you beat bowser. bowser was my 105th. i got 106 and i stopped from exhaustion.

Just in case this needs to be explained,

One can get 105 stars without beating Bowser. After beating him Mario goes back, talks to the lady and then the purple comet/trial galaxies become available.

Get those last 15 stars, beat Bowser again and then something happens...
