Hmm. There's a lot of hubbub on the 'net about this game...

What if you're a complete gaming n00b and can't seem to ever beat a single Mario level (er, on the really old school Nintendo system)? Think some poor idjit like that could get anywhere w/ Galaxy?

I've been playing for the last couple days. It is a LOT better to me than the 64 version but I didn't really like the 64 version...a lot of that having to do with my severe dislike of the 64 controller. For me at least this new one is miles ahead...it looks so polished and everything works well and for a reason. It's hard but not annoying in most places. Really well balanced.

In a developer interview they say the game has been crafted for casual/new gamers as well as the hardcore brutes. Aka, the main game is easy as chips but to 100% you'll need reflexes of a cat and skill of a legend.

Holy cr*p

In short, Galaxy is one of the most impressive, engrossing games in recent memory

Looks like I've got 11 days to complete Metroid Prime 3 and buy and complete Super Metroid before I get sucked into Galaxy.

One thing though - I'm hoping theres a game clock a la TP. I like knowing how much time I've spent in a game and Mario games have never had one before.

Mmm, dammit, now I have to break my "handhelds only, from now on" and get a Wii.... :p

You know, since it's so small, you can always hold the Wii in your hand as you play. That way, you'll still have your handheld.

I have been looking forward to Galaxy for a looooong time. Dare I say, it's a contender for game of the month. The demo, this past weekend, has only made me want it more.....

For those not in the know. ToysRus is offering a $25 gift card with the purchase of Mario Galaxy. I'm gunna go there right now to preorder. :D

This game does look amazing.

while i don't doubt it's awesome, I can't wait to get my pre-order... I don't like Matt Casamassina's reviews since i rarely ever agree with him.

Hope i'm wrong though, it looks soo good.

I've heard people saying this is better than Mario 64, which I never heard about Sunshine! And I loved that game too.

Mygod I can't wait! 8 days off here.

Between Orange Box, Galaxy and Brawl my gaming will be set for 2008 :D

Can we please just merge this into my Super Mario Galaxy thread? That was the whole purpose of it.

Also sweet review!

I've been going back to play it everyday since sunday or monday at Gamecrazy across the street. It's so cool!! (i already have 8 stars figured out.) Can't wait until Tuesday...!
