will you be lining up outside the Apple Store to get one
LOL. No, but I'll have a good chuckle at anyone who does.
The experience is what the campout is all about. I know I can get a phone by preordering or waiting a few weeks or whatever but camping out is a blast. The atmosphere at the Apple Store is wild, the hype is almost tangible in the air, you're around a bunch of other Apple nerds who can talk tech for hours on end, and at the end, you get your phone. The employees come running out the door, high-fiving everyone and getting pumped, they usually give you coffee/hot chocolate/water and donuts, and everyone is buzzing with excitement about getting their phone. It's awesome!Thousands of iPhone users do. It's primarily a tradition for some and it's not just about the iPhone, it's the experience behind it.

The only reason why people would want it the first day is to show it off to people. To be "cool".
LOL...it's a phone. Please...
No.

I’m sure there are plenty of things that are very important to you that other people couldn’t care less about.
No need to judge. Different things appeal to different people.
So tell me why else you would want it on day 1 so badly? Its a phone.
Its not a transformation from Nokia to iPhone 3GS
If it was then I would understand.
No.

They did last year and hopefully this year is the same. I hate it when the scalpers/resellers are in the front of the line buying 2 each only to sell at a premium price. I think Apple has learned their lesson.I thought Apple did away with store lineups?
As the question states... if iPhone 8 is all of what you feel it will be... will you be lining up outside the Apple Store to get one given supply will be limited? If so, have you lined up before for other phones or will it be your first time?

There won't be any iPhone 8 in stores at launch. Same like the Jet Black version last year.
What is this 2008??? Why would anyone stand in line overnight when you can place your order in 5 minutes online? People never cease to amaze me.
See Post #155 that explains your lack of understanding as to why.
