It will be even better when the bugs are worked out. So far, the inability to use it when quickly replying from the lock screen and the fact that the messages don't scroll up when the keyboard opens in the messaging app have really bothered me.
In that screenshot is show a black keyboard and a white keyboard...i didn't know swiftkey can change color schemes! anyone know where to change this?
Worst part about this keyboard, is that it requires full access for word productions... which means the keyboard is no longer sandboxed.
This keyboard is also completely free, which begs the question how are they making money. They are probably data-minning the words we type. Like Apple said we are its product.
Well on Android you're right, but the iOS version of SwiftKey is so bad if it comes to customization. On Android you can change how long to press until the secondary chars are written on your screen. This option is totally missing in the actual version of SwiftKey.
At the moment SwiftKey only provides the basic idea of the app, but all the other features are missing. At least for now.
Swift kinda sucks, maybe its just me.
Found out after I installed on my iPad Air that the swipe typing is only for iPhone and iPod. Bummer, but I did install Swype on the iPad and it works with swipe typing.
HOWEVER, its quirky. If I'm using the Swype keyboard and I put focus on a password field on a webpage, the keyboard reverts back to the stock Apple keyboard with no button to switch back to Swype.![]()
I downloaded a couple of them, tried them out, and then promptly deleted them.
I'm surprised no one is talking about the lack of the Siri Dictation button. For me, that's an absolute deal breaker.
"Who needs alternative keyboards? Lol Android customization is so useless"

Maybe Apple should take the hint that customers want customization?
Downside to swiftkey as everyone else said - it wants full access.
Does Swype do that aswell? I would purchase it if it doesn't.

I would imagine that'll come as a premium add-on, along with different patterns and colors for the entire keyboard. Stay tuned for version 2.0. It'll probably be in there, but expect to pay a buck or two to get it.Usually I'm an Apple purist and don't like a lot of third-party stuff, but this one looks almost the same as the standard keyboard with different colors, so naturally, it's "gorgeous". Except, is it possible to change the color of the letters?

"customers" don't know what they want because they are idiots. All this stuff looks cluttered and is buggy. How about Apple makes something that *works* and I don't have to even think about other keyboards. Same for the stupid pull down widgets. Looks like ****. Steve Jobs would have never let this happen.
i would never install a 3rd party keyboard, especially one that wants full access.
Some people are so paranoid smh
