Carrier T-Mobile 5S Shipping Thread

I ordered a 32GB Space Grey 5S at 12:10 AM PT on launch day on T-Mobile's website, and my tracking info was stuck on "Louisville, KY, 09/20/2013 Departure Scan" for five days. Then yesterday, on 9/25, a new arrival scan finally appeared from Vernon, CA. And today it's out in Los Angeles for delivery. I'm very exited! I haven't seen the 5S in real life yet. I hope Space Grey looks as good as I have imagined.
 
Gold Tmo ip5s

I completed my order on tmobile.com at 308AM EST. 32GB Gold. After completing the order I would refresh my order status on tmobile and by it self my order item changed from gold 32gb to space grey 16gb. Weird.. Refreshed the browser and then the order item was blank but instead of my subtotal being 253. It changed to something like 800 bucks!!!... Kept refreshing it and it would change back and forth between a space grey 16GB for 253 to a gold iphone 5 32Gb. To the no line item with an 800.00 subtotal... The next day it seemed to be corrected to the correct subtotal amount. But now it only shows the line item as iphone 5S. Does not specify the color or GB. Anyway, I ordered my phone within 10 minutes of the launch time and I still haven't relieved my phone. It shows as backordered for a 10/4 estimated delivery. I honestly think tmobile screwed my order up and now I'm going to get my phone late..
 
The space gray color are high in stock. Definitely can guarantee that because couple of my local tmobile stores carry them. Reason for the people who ordered space gray are getting their shipments quicker.

As far as the silver and gold is concern, the shipments are in backorder status because of its limited quantity. So, just wanted to ask...for those that ordered silver or gold during launch day, what TIME did you place your order, when's your projected SHIPPING date, and which STATE do you reside? Basically what's your overall status for the silver or gold iphone 5s?

Order placed: 9/20 at 8:30AM
Shipping date/Order status: Backordered - "We are sorry, we are unable to retrieve your order status at this time, please try again later."
Region: Texas

So as of now, I'm playing the waiting game but hopefully I will be hearing something soon.

Wasn't planning to buy the phone, but actually went into the tmobile store to switch my plan instead. In the end, the wife convinced me to get the phone.

So now just trying to gauge where I stand amongst others who got it around the same time as me.

I ordered a 16gb gold ip5s around 3:05am NYC time. It currently says backordered but the order has been processed and has an estimated delivery of 9/30. I'm tempted to cancel the order and get the space gray instead. But gold looks so good in person. The wait is killing me but I guess, it will be worth the wait.

Yeah, if I got the gray I probably would've had it already. Oh well. Reordering it will just put me in the back of the line. Might as well just wait it out.
 
Hello all,

We are planning to switch to T-mobile from AT&T, bringing our current numbers along. We are 3 weeks away from the end of our contract with AT&T. Since the demand is high, especially for the gold color, we thought we could order the phones now and by the time the order arrives, we would be out of contract. However, I was wondering when T-mobile would start the number porting process. Do they do it when the order is placed, when it's sent, or when we receive it and activate the service? Just trying to get a sense of the timing of the whole process. I wouldn't want them to port our numbers too early that we would be breaking our contract with AT&T, as well as having no phone service, and then wait for the iPhones to arrive.

I believe the number porting process starts when you activate the new phone. I would call (or online chat) AT&T and ask what the ETF would be if you switched now. I did that with Sprint. They said that there was no ETF, if I broke the contract with less than a month to go.

ETA: My first plan was to order the phones on the Sept 20 and hold them until the contract with Sprint was over on the 7th. I chatted with a Sprint respresentive about the ETF after a post on the Sprint thread. The poster was told that there was no ETF if you had less than a month to go on the contract. AT&T may be different, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Same here in MN, if you want a Space Gray you could have walked into the store any time. I haven't found one that even got a Gold nevertheless one with in stock.
 
my 32 gb is gonna be here monday evening! ordered it this past tuesday. i really hope i like ios.

did you get that shipping date confirmed? i just called tmobile and they said they don't know when they will be receiving a shipment and that my estimated delivery date of 9/30 is worthless. iphone 32gb gold

i'm tracking from ups.com with the tracking number. just left nashville with one business day shipping left.
 
Train derailment in Texas delayed my order. :(

This is ridiculous, why couldn't t-mobile just have them in stock on launch day? I'm tired of waiting.

Ordered launch day, September 20th, in store around 8:20 AM. Space Gray 16 GB.

Currently, the last update was on September 25th in Texas, and it shows "Exception" status. Oddly enough, I didn't get the September 25th update until this morning...

I ordered the same color around the same time as well, but my wife's silver iphone is causing the delay on my end. Hope it gets to you quick.

-Ordered one gold 16 GB at exactly 2:01:31 CST, per the EIP agreement.

-Shipped on 9/20.

-Alabama.

-Both phones (also ordered a 16 GB space gray at 1:56:17 CST) received Monday, 9/23.
 
Upgraded one of my lines to 64gb space gray at about 12:13am pacific on the 20th through T-Mobile's web site. Shipped the same day and showed up yesterday, the 26th (original estimate was 9/30).

Really surprised me... it was a nightmare trying to order the HTC One back in May on launch weekend. Made me wish I'd hopped on and ordered a gold at midnight from T-Mobile.
