So I just got some REALLY bad news....

I pre-ordered both my lines to an iPhone 6 and 6+ (one over the phone and the other online at around 10pm on Friday night)...

So I check my bank account today and TADA! T-Mo has withdrew the taxes/shipping for my wifes line (Over the phone iPhone 6 order) and nothing has updated since then...

So I decide to call T-Mobile and find out a "Live" update... Well.. I get informed that BOTH ORDERS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T RECEIVE THE EIP's!!!!!! What?!?!?

1. How/Why did they take the taxes out of my account for a cancelled order???
2. How did they NOT get my EIP's when I have copies of them AND I verified the orders the day after by calling and making sure everything is good??
3. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'm pretty much done with T-Mobile at this point.. This is the one of many things they have screwed up on my account in the 8 months I have been with them.. So this was the last straw.

Dang my dude! Im not gonna lie, I feel bad. I'd be depressed ****! lol maybe try your luck in store?

You are never to late to get it Friday in stores. Just show up super early. At least you found out the phones have been cancelled now than later. Sorry to hear though

which is faster: T-Mobile or apple.com?

Edit:

OK. I put this off and am just now (9/16) deciding to order an iphone 6 64GB for use on T-mobile. I know I will have a long wait.

Will it make any difference if I order directly from apple.com vs T-mobile?

I have an idea. Call T-mobile now and talk to a retention specialist or a manager. and be very polite. Explain the situation, show them they messed up without blaming anyone, and ask they work with your local store to set aside the devices for you, as an exception, to help correct the situation. I'll bet they'll do it. Give it a try.

Speaking of un-carrier 8.0... What do you peeps think should come next?

I think they should give tier options when buying a phone on the installment plan.. if they usually charge let's say $500 for the phone, $0 down on a payment plan of whatever that is broken up into 24 months. Now if you decided to pay $100 down you can make your installment plan cheaper.

Well now I have three pages to refresh...

  • T-Mobile Order Status page
  • AMEX pending charges page
  • MacRumors T-Mobile.com preorder thread (of course)

Saw a charge today for my wife's iPhone 6 (16GB, Gold) but still nothing for my iPhone 6 Plus (16GB, Silver).

JUMP customer here, ordered 2 p.m. 9/12.

I have just been charged today. I do not have jump. I ordered a grey 64-gig plus at around 11:30PM EST on the 12th over the phone.

Awesome. That's exactly what I ordered.
Hopefully I'm not to far behind, I did order as soon as I could get ahold of someone on the phone.

This is really a good idea. It's like "name your price" type of deal. Why be stuck with a pre-arranged purchase plan when you can choose your own. Any amount down. Equal payments for the rest. Devices Unleashed!

Then again... the interest is free, so I'd pay as little as possible up front which is what we do now. Meh, maybe it's not such a good idea LOL

Dang it... so close, so close.

Just noticed a second temp authorization on my credit card made today by TMO for 21$ less! WTF! Hopefully the first one will be taken off and the second one is a sign that they are going to ship soon

I would go into the store and see if they can straighten things out for you.

You can do that now. The dollar amount of your monthly EIP payment IS currently based on the remainder that you owe....so if you put more down up front, your payments go down.

...unless......do you mean a situation where you want to make another payment down after the fact and have it reduce monthly payments instead of how it currently reduces the # of payments?

Same here. I have yet to see an iPhone 6 + JUMP! order get charged. Lucky wife's though

Thanks guys.. My wife and I are pretty damn mad at this situation.. I'm on the phone with T-Mo right now for a third time tonight and I'm going to ask for retention/manager and see what can get this resolved.. I'm also drafting a email to John Legere as we speak to see what he says.. I'm hoping to get this resolved.. I'll keep all you updated.

And everyone.. I would call and verify your order because on My.TMobile AND when I text #TRK# AND use the 1-800 number to listen to the robot lady.. They all confirmed my order was placed/okay.

I'm just saying.....

You've always been able to do this

iPhone 6+ 16GB Space Gray, Ordered 9am(PST) 9/13, Through Jump!. I looked at my CC account today (9/16) around 7pm (EST) and nothing, then I looked again at 10pm(EST) and BAM! payment being processed. My T-mobile account page doesn't show any changes though, but seems like it updates like 24 hours or more after the change actually happens. Hope this is a good sign.

Keep in mind the iPhone 6 now has 20LTE bands instead of 14 like the previous devices. Each model has been improving on cellular connection.

I live rural though. I have a tmo iPad, and have dead areas on it - but not as much as her phone.

But the biggest issue is LTE here is in major pockets. Time will tell if they upgrade here, but they have done some in the big retirement community next to me.

As long as I can make calls with wifi here at home I think I should be ok. But when I have full bars of service and they have 0-1... It gives you pause!

I know why the charge is less!

If you do the math, you can figure it out pretty easily. Those who are being charged less are being charged for the device (downpayment or full amount) plus applicable tax (8% in my case). The remaining charges, such as shipping and sim cards (plus applicable tax from those items) are being left out.

So, only the phone charge is being authorized at this point.

I was charged the phone, shipping, and tax (for me, it was around $741 for a 128GB 6+ Gold). I have an EIP and ordered online around 10pm on the 12th (CST) if that matters any.
