Yeah but $1 isnt an authorization right? I thought:

Authorization = Full amount
Hold = Partial or $1 to check valid info

It's a $1 authorization. Some merchants systems are setup to just try a $1 authorization to make sure the card is good and then do another authorization for the full amount later. It's a bit risky as if the customer only has a $200 limit left on his card and you go to authorize $900.00 it will get declined and you then have to go back to the customer. That's why hotels will do an authorization for the full amount of your stay when you check in to make sure they will get their money.

I ordered over the phone since the website wasn't accepting orders that early. I got an 8 year veteran T-Mobile rep who knew what she was doing. I had to be one of the first orders in (realizing that means one of many) and I chose overnight shipping. She said my phone would ship the 19th and I should get in the following Monday. I am a JUMP! customer, although I didn't trade in a phone for this, as my current phone is paid in full. So, I guess I will wait and see. But I have no estimated delivery date, my card has not been charged, nothing. I'm not feeling very confident at this point.

They said you will not be charged until your order is ready to ship. Do you have an ETA when you check your order here? https://my.t-mobile.com/OrderStatus.aspx

Ok people I need your feedback I guy I work with also has a preorder he says he was charged twice which I've heard of the the multiple charges but he said he spoke with the sales department and she told him that there going to charge a couple charges and if your money isn't there then they cancel your order has anyone heard anything like that I was charged my full price so why after they get that money should I have to pay another fee?

I just called Customer Service and the guy told me they're shipping them out on Friday because UPS is closed on Thursday. (Really sounds like BS to me, please let this be BS.) He also said that because I paid for the next day air shipping I would get it on Monday. Does this sound insane to any of you?

So I decided to call and bug the reps again. Lady assured me that the "backordered" doesn't mean anything. For legal reasons they had to take off the estimated delivery date because their system was throwing dates that were too early based on when customers ordered(especially those with expedited shipping).

She also stated that they were working extremely hard with Apple to make sure pre-ordered devices are delivered on or before launch date. Of course this is a very generic response.

UPS closed on Thursdays? Never heard of that.

I don't buy that UPS is closed on Thursday, especially considering Thursday is when they'll be preparing to deliver a million iPhones on Friday (all for other carriers?).

UPS closed on Thursday makes literally no sense. But if they ship on Friday, it should get there Saturday because UPS Next Day Air includes Saturday Delivery.

Why do people fuel the fire. What makes you think those are for T-Mobile. They are probably got apple

I didn't say they were exclusively for TMO. I'm sure these are going to Apple's distro center, and then being sent out to carriers, one of which, is TMO.

So, in the end, it does benefit TMO customers too!

Sounds like that guy told you the first thing that came to his mind. UPS closed on Thursday, lmao.

UPS is definitely not closed on thursday. Wether its shipping out thurs or fri is hard to tell. I keep getting told its going out thurs for friday delivery. One order was next day air, the other ground, but CSR told me i would get it Friday, for sure.
