It's funny how many people have said the customer service department has no knowledge about anything and yet they believe one text message.

I would trust official tmobile text/emails more than a rep. Those things are documentation that can be held accountable, a rep ultimately can claim they were misinformed when they give you wrong info.

the twitter feed has said a lot of things that were incorrect..

They have no clue. They're still telling people if they order today they'll get their phone in 1-6 weeks. That's what they've been saying since before the pre-order, isn't it?

I called T-Mobile yesterday, because a charge appeared on my debit card (from T-Mobile) for a different amount than what I'd expected. The customer support agent explained that, and then mentioned -- with total confidence -- that my order (64GB silver 6 Plus) would be shipping that afternoon, for a Friday delivery. She even confirmed it a second time.

This morning, I check my order status at t-mobile.com/orderstatus and called the phone number to get an automated order status. On the web page, there was no change. It just says "order placed." Over the automated phone system, it still says "backordered." So I decided to wait to speak to another representative.

This one apologized for the confusion, then said that none of the phones were shipping until this afternoon -- including mine. She then said that I'd be receiving the tracking information via email, "usually around 4 or 5 PM Eastern" and that my phone would be arriving tomorrow.

That was about five minutes ago.

So, there seems to be a disconnect between order status on the website, the automated phone number and the actual CS reps. I want to believe the reps have the most accurate information, so I guess I'll just continue to hope I get a tracking number and it delivers tomorrow.

honestly the messages should bee disregarded. Im in the same boat and im completely pissed that that happened

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone last night trying to get them to honor the "ship on the 19th w/next day air" the web site had shown when I'd ordered. They finally said they would update things to send my phone to *arrive* on the 19th (better than what I was actually asking for) and I got that text.

Having said that, I think they did that to get me to shut up and go away and the phone is still going to arrive when it was going to anyways. But, I'd love to be proven wrong!

The theory that these texts and emails were queued up days ago isn't as farfetched as you might think. This is typically how emails are sent (if you were a web developer, this would be common knowledge).

They don't send emails out in real-time, usually. Instead, they drop them in a queue and they get sent out over time. If they had all of these technical problems with the pre-order itself, they may have forgotten about the email queue. It's possible that yesterday they finally noticed, and fixed it.

Still a low level csr is a bit different than the official Twitter account of T-Mobile. We are getting info in print via the email and a Twitter feed. A csr telling a user here on MacRumors that their order is 6 weeks away or is shipping this week isn't something in writing and only hearsay. If you can send me in writing, with a T-Mobile letterhead, that these text messages and emails are bogus then I will believe you.

I was very skeptical about this but I DID RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM LEGERE!
jimmy was right! :eek::eek:

" Hi this is John Legere calling in behalf of T-Mobile , Sorry for your trouble and thank for reaching me thru twitter ! Your package is already ship out from our warehouse this morning from louisville"

here my detail
order iPhone 6 PLUS GOLD 16GB
NO CONTRACT
NO JUMP
NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION
NO TEXT CONFIRMATION
CC BEEN CHARGED YESTERDAY 5PM EST TIME
NOW WENT FROM PREORDER TO SHIPPED!!!

GUYS Don't be upset, Just hope you guys get john legere voicemail and you will be set for friday launch!!

INSTANT OVERRIDE :cool::apple:

Recap for me:

-2 orders placed within 30 seconds of each other on 09/12 over the phone.
-Card charged for both on Tuesday.
-Got text on both phones Wednesday night stating that I would have phones on Friday.
-Status on my.tmobile.com changed from backorder to pre-order late wednesday.
-Status changed back to backorder on Thursday morning.

Still no UPS info. I am a My Choice customer and am in SE Pennsylvania. I am an existing customer, no JUMP, signed EIPs for both phones. I think that's it.

The issue is that I live alone.

If the package gets delivered after the launch date I will not be home.

I will be in Spain for work.

If no one gets the package within 5 days, I am pretty sure it gets returned.

The result? Thanksgiving Day iPhone.

I am really not that mad though, just slightly irritated.

My iPhone 5 is still kicking.

You could also sign up for a free trial of my choice and have them deliver it to a UPS Access Point. You can then pick it up from there once you return.

I am on the verge of losing it myself. I am holding onto the last bit of hope that I will get a shipping confirmation today as they have been PROMISING all week long. If I don't get it by tonight, I don't know. If they would have just told us from the get go the truth, it would have been fine. Hard to trust a company when they blow this so bad.

Between their twitter, CS reps, automated system and two different web order status pages all spewing different information it's hard to have any confidence in what any of their outlets say.

Well, this if fun. I ordered on Sunday, the instant the preorder site opened.

I got a text last night saying delivery between 9/22 and 9/30. I paid for overnight shipping. This is starting to get really, really annoying.

I work in software dev, while that could be possible, the emails and text could also be sent out by order #s being matched up to incoming devices. The whole Queue thing would make more sense if everyone got the email at the same time which is not the issue here.

Yep - that's the fun part about software dev. You can do things many different ways. The queue wouldn't necessarily mean at the same time though. You'd have some type of worker working through the queue. If that worker is slow, the emails and texts would slowly trickle out.

We have movement

Just checked UPS !!! And it said delivery today when I checked earlier now I got this !!!

Anybody else get this text?

What does that even mean?

I did. My shipping label was created but has not shipped. If they ship out tonight for tomorrow delivery, then it's possible it may show updates until tomorrow's date. I have had this occur in the past with Next Day Air. I refuse to call CS today. If I see no updates tonight I'll stand in line tomorrow at my TMO store. it's a bit hidden so I may have better luck.
