Yeah I got a 6+ gold 16GB and still hung up with conflicting messages. No upsa label. I did get the text that said between 9/22-9/30 but all reps deny that message even got sent.
I just did that now and it still says order placed and backordered. Lol

Same here. This definitely seems way more accurate than the other order status joint. This all blows.
I was texted that I would get the phone tomorrow, but have no tracking # (I have been charged, however). I went to online chat with T-Mobile, and while they typically only deliver old news or bad news, I thought I'd share this for what it's worth.
Ana F: Good news!
Ana F: You will need receive the iPhone order tomorrow 19th of september . The tracking number may be delayed. Its possible that you will receive the device first.
You: So it has already shipped?
Ana F: Yes, that is correct.
Ana F: I am glad that you will be getting it tomorrow.
You: OK thank you so much for your help. Do you have the tracking number? Can you see it?
Ana F: You are most welcome, nope, I apologize as there is no tracking number available yet but rest assured that you will be getting the phone tomorrow.
Ana F: Its also indicated on your order details.
You: OK. I'm trusting you then. Thank you very much for your help.

can also confirm this i just called and she gave me shipped confirmation and tracking number... for nothing now since i knew it 1 day earlier...

someone said they got this message "Free T-mobile Msg: For all Pre-Orders your tracking number will not be visible on UPS.com prior to the product launch date."
another person said this:
"Ok i think the following will give peace of mind to everyone. I am an employee at tmobile and my friend pre ordered his at 4:49 am on friday morning of the 12th. He got the texts that everyone has been receiving. He got the "you will receive your iphone on friday the 19th" text. The reason the tracking numbers have not been sent out is because of security. Second the tracking numbers get generated automatically and takes time for the system to attach it to your online account. That being said he came in to the store with me today and i pulled the order on my system. I found the tracking number and it was scheduled delivery by end of day friday morning. Most that received the text will get their t number tomorrow and it will be too late because the package will already prolly be at ur house. Cant wait to get my own iphone."

There's nothing worse than being a new customer right now. No text, and no text coming. I need a ******* tie-breaker so I know whether to believe the e-mail or robo lady.
Hmm, I got the text and e-mail yesterday, the text today, charged yesterday, and still no shipping number. It doesn't show up on UPS either (and I have UPS My Choice so it would show up if it had shipped). Beginning to think I'm not getting it, unless it shipped another carrier.
I called, its still says mine is backordered even though i pre-ordered on the 12th....THIS SUCKS!!
I guess at this point I have to just accept the fact that I'm not getting my phone on launch day, I'm not getting it until who even knows when. I was up at midnight on the 12th trying tirelessly to get my order in, and people who ordered after me are getting their phones before me. They haven't even changed me, the full amount has been pending on my bank account for three days now. T-Mobile failed me.
Go to ups.com and track by reference. Put your phone number in for the reference number
Yes, yesterday. Radio silence since.
