Snow flurries forecast for hell this afternoon…………..
My white 6+ was delivered today in Albuquerque, NM. Were I a betting man, I would have bet against it, but here it is, in my grubby little hands :D
No fanfare, no hottie on a magenta motorcycle, just a ring of the doorbell and little white bubble wrap envelope sitting on my porch. If they just drop these things off, what's to keep me from following UPS around and stealing them off people's porches? But I digress….
I must find a case for this thing ASAP! It looks like floor magnet ;)

that is blatantly incorrect and misinformed, sorry 'bout it, but you should double-check your information if you think tmo has verbatim confirmed that shipping order is entirely random.

there seem to be far more people in your boat than mine, and some have mentioned receiving their phones prior to tracking information. i'm sure you will receive it quickly enough.

The sheer (relative) size of this thread should be evidence enough that the process did not go well for Tmobile. Either that, or they've become the #1 carrier! It surely isn't populated with posters repeating that communication was great and the process was orderly and fair.:cool:

I'm honestly thinking about buying a 6 and saying screw the 6+

Two reasons why I can't/haven't do/done that since I ordered two 6+'s:

1) My 6 Plus: I'm coming from an android 5 inch phone and I've wanted something bigger. I was going to buy a bigger phone after this one (Note 4 perhaps) but I decided after the larger iPhone leaks that I would hold out until Apple's iPhone event (in case the new bigger phone is unveiled). So now I'm going back to iOS and 5 inch phones feel small.

2) Mother's 6 Plus: Two main reasons. First, she has a tremor like symptom in her hands that make her hands shake a little so OIS was a complete must once it was unveiled. Secondly, I thought a bigger phone would be better for her eyesight considering she doesn't bother using an iPad anymore for some reason.

there is a difference between individual preemptive complaining and the processes actually occurring. a couple hundred angry and anxious tmobile customers is, like i said, at best an unreliable sample. most of the posters here have been the same since the beginning, it hasn't been 9,000 different customers providing testimony.

i sure hope so. because my order number does not work to check status online, so i have to call every time i want a status, and lucky for me every rep gives me a different one. i did get the emails/texts saying it would be shipped today, although it's already 6pm here and no ups truck in sight so i'm doubtful. my card was charged yesterday and i paid overnight shipping, so when i called for a status check yesterday, the rep told me they only charge when the phone is shipped and since it charged yesterday and i paid overnight shipping, she's 100% sure im getting it friday (today).... again, all is looking doubtful at this point. FML.

I definitely don't believe that. I only reasoned that the limited empirical data (haha I think this argument is just funny because there is no actual data, just comments from two websites, that is why I make these comments in jest, good sir) may lead to a conclusion that this occurred.

eep, frustrating. but, although individual cases can certainly be anomalous and don't point toward any statistical information, mine are currently en route through ups and i have received no information from tmobile about it. i can't look up my label through ups using my phone number or even using MyChoice, and i only found my tracking after checking tmo a few hours ago.

furious? wow, someone get on the phone to foxconn to tell the $1-an-hour workers that this person is furious about having to wait a few days because apple didn't foresee their specific urgent desire for an iphone

I wouldn't blame you actually. I don't know how your phones haven't shipped if you ordered that early.

Oh wow, are we actually going to that argument now? That's like the Godwin's Law of iphone threads. I would have a very hard time explaining to that poor worker why I spent the equivalent to a few months of their salary on a phone to begin with.

I don't want to make this personally about you, but we're all in a (now giant, because people were/are in the dark) thread about a phone that just came out today. We're all a bit obsessive about it. It's like going into a bar and complaining about alcoholics.

Anyone from CHICAGO with a T-Mobile in store pre order? I purchased on 9/12, no tracking, I have Jump, and I ve been with Tmobile for TEN YEARS!!!

I have received the email and text saying they will update me in 1-2 days but my order status is preorder/backordered 9/18. Am I screwed for weeks?

Whats to stop me from getting a few phones right now from verizon and then porting them over to t-mobile as a new customer? I can snag them from a costco right now.

"everyone here is doing this" doesn't negate the comment. so many people here are genuinely anxious and excited and frustrated and that's cool and valid, what is unnecessary and what i will comment on is people feeling personally victimized by having to wait.

I don;'t care that my iPhone isn't here. I have never had such a terrible experience from lack of info to complete BS being given over the phone from t-mobile. Had i ordered from AT&T I would have my device. Then to be told the Apple and T-Mobile had a 'miscommunication' regarding the amount tot iPhones needed is ridiculous.

John: "Hey Tim, Got about 6mil iP6 pre-orders and 4mil iP6+ Pre-orders."
Tim: John, no problem buddy! We will go ahead and send you over 3mil of each"
John:Sounds good Tim! Have a great one and awesome new device!

Seriously? A miscommunication? BS.

Yup, I tried to cancel twice today and it hasn't gone through yet, apparently all they can do is submit a form. I'm going to see if I can get lucky and get an unlocked on reserve at an Apple Store tonight / this weekend / next week, whatever.
