T-Mobile.com preorder thread

I don't know why I do this to myself..

But just saw on FlightAware that a plane is landing in Sacramento - from Louisville - in 20 minutes. Lord knows if that's even enough time to get boxes off the plane and into homes/businesses, but MAN! Killing me. 😎

Which city? I'm getting the same phone, also Bay Area, same text, around the same time and using JUMP!.... We're pretty much in the same situation.

I had deliveries come in at 8PM PDT, so one can only hope!
 
Question

Ok, so due to real world issues I wasn't able to order on the first day, I actually ordered on the 17th! GASP!, oddly enough it was because Tmobile sent me an email that said something like "being a JUMP customer pre-order now and be the first to have an iPhone6" ... my first thought... ya right! It's 5 days after and they are sending me this email now?

Anyway, I knew I would be in backorder hell, Nov probably. But I call up this AM to get a better idea, since it still just says "Order processing", rep tells me that I am in a better situation since it doesn't say "Backordered 3 weeks" , I tell her that makes no sense since I only ordered 2 days ago. She tells me to call back because the system is slow, so I call back in a few hours, a different rep tells me that my 2 orders are iPhone 6 Plus - 128G Space Grey is 6-8 weeks, and the iPhone 6 64G Gold is 4-6 weeks. That sucks but it seems more like it, she tells me that once it's ready to ship they will charge my card. I hang up and check my credit card, they charged me for the 2 phones today! I call back and basically this rep has no idea. Obviously TMobile is dropping the ball on information.

My question, being that I was charged does that mean it will be coming next week, or do you think that I'm still not getting it until 8 weeks. If that's the case they owe me some money soon!
 
just confirmed... a rep did some digger deeping on my order. i'm backordered. my phone never shipped. some major BS.

-ordered the iphone 6 plus 128 gb space gray on 9/12 8am est in store (paid for overnight shipping)
-got order processed email 9/12
-got order backordered email 9/13
-got pre-order update email on 9/17 saying phones would be received 9/19
-credit card charged 9/18
-9/19, no phone... was told status is backordered and 6-8 weeks wait time, never shipped

Can't say I share your optimism given T-mobile's track record. I am beginning to believe that T-mobile sent a whole bunch of people false text messages on friday delivery and our phones are in fact backordered (or preordered depending upon where in tmobiles website you check status). Sucks because a lot of folks I knew got a phone of their choice (color and storage) from t-mobile and sprint stores this morning (Not the PLUS of course). Feel like an idiot for pre ordering it.
 
Ugh so frustrated.
Robolady says "order is being processed but not yet available for shipping."
tmobile.com says "backordered"

Which is it tmobile??

Received text from T-Mobile on 9/17/14 at 5:28PM saying they expect my phone to be delivered between 9/22-9/30.
My credit card was charged today on 9/19.
Did not have jump previous to the pre-order but I was charged for jump, so I'm assuming I am now on the program?

Crossing my fingers it will be delivered next week D:

I'm from Southern California.
I'm also waiting on a 64GB Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus.
I hope tonight's shipment does carry the 64GB Space Gray models of the 6 Plus.

Bay Area here as well. Ordered a 128 GB SG 6+ at 5:06 am on the 12th. Got all the texts and emails saying my phone would arrive today, and my card was charged. But I only got tracking this morning from typing my phone number into the UPS tracking service, an it says a label was created and my phone is scheduled for delivery Monday. I think it's possible it could arrive today; the status might be behind, but who knows. UPS usually comes late to my house so I haven't lost hope quite yet.

me too... i got 6 plus 128g gray for me and 6 gold 64g for my wife... they charged my card for both phones yesterday. i called and was on the phone for over an hour with a rep who talked to diff departments for me checking what was the deal to confirm it never shipped and im backordred 6-8 weeks cuz of my 6plus. the 6 is only 7-10 days backorder but because its the same order, she will have to wait as long as my 6plus takes...

I'm in order limbo, I tried to cancel but it can't be cancelled, they charged me but it didn't ship. I'm going to try and reserve a TMo one tonight at apple.com but if the one I ordered from TMo gets here first I'll just pay it off and get them to unlock it and pop in the AT&T sim.

this is probably a preauth charge, which can last for days and is often misleading because it seems to be for the correct amount. many of us were charged just as quickly and found that they fell off, it hasn't yet been indicative of shipping times. i have zero posted charges and my phone is currently on its way to me, and there are people with charges who are still on 'backordered' status. sorry, welcome to the aptly-named shipping purgatory :/

Wow crazy. Sounds identical to me. I too ordered a 64gb plus sg via jump online, 40 minutes after you. Also backordered 9/13 3:02am. Got that same text, and no cc charge either. I'm in Boise.

Unfortunately, I think those are the same thing. T-Mobile execs have said that they'll stop using "backordered" for preordered devices going forward.

But as for now, I see no difference between "being processed but nothing else" as the same thing as "backordered."

Or another way of looking at it: all "backordered" orders are technically being processed.

Robogirl says processing not ready to ship.
Called my local tmobile, they said they wouldn't have any 6 Plus, you would have to pre order to get one.
